Sanctimonious lap dog.
He really should listen to himself sometimes.

As far as I'm concerned AI has only one admirable use.
Predicting & spotting diseases from masses of medical data.

In that regard AI is only the next step along the road that computers have already taken us for the past 40 years.
Saving real people the need to crunch tedious numbers.

As for 'deep fakes' and the like, most of the people who say you can't tell them from the real thing are just being too lazy to concentrate, in my opinion. I've never seen one that rises above the apt definition of "slop".
AI for titillation or deception is no better than the latest dumb user friendly version of Photoshop.

Oh dear <doh>

An AI chat bot will have allowed hackers to hijack my Not606 account.

Sort of loosely linked to the thread title, but does anyone else get hacked off with this modern scourge of being contacted by literally everyone you have any sort of infinitesimal contact with, to complete a satisfaction survey.

I think I got three yesterday and no I would not like to spare ten minutes of my time to complete your meaningless survey, which you will ignore, but will use to claim that you care about your customers experience and happiness with your crap service.

Logging into my bank account, why do I have to put two passwords in when until six months ago it was one.
My email account, my laptop used to store my pin number and I signed in without need of keying it in.
I get security measures but sometimes it goes too far and can make things more difficult.

Back on topic, what gets my goat's cheese is being harassed to buy a new mobile phone every fortnight by my phone provider.
And Sky as well, always trying to flog me one of their streaming TV sets :emoticon-0121-angry

On a serious level, what are people paying for their tele package?

I cancelled my last contract four years ago and then it was upto £80 per month, and this was without Sky Sports.
