So yes obviously a mind blowing transfer. Who is he and is he any good?
The good thing about these players from the Croatian league like Pukštas, Fruk, Stojković etc. is that they’re all really athletic, hard-working midfielders. They’re all technically-gifted as well but we need a midfield that can cover a lot of ground and handle the physicality of English football. Our midfield struggled at times this season and it was often because Slater was doing the running of three players.

He's in his last year, but despite that is still valued at around £15m and he's on £180k a week, seems a tad optimistic and unrealistic.
I doubt the player would even want to come anyway
But i could see the biscuit man lumping out for that
Xhaka went for a similar transfer fee and salary to Sunderland last summer.
He was a similar fee, but £100k a week is quite a lot less than £180k a week and Xhaka was less of a risk, as he'd played 225 Premier League games already.
Calhanoglus spent 10 seasons at the milan clubs
And leverkusen before that
Hes not even played in turkey surprisingly
He wouldnt struggle playing in the prem
