Plenty of rumours circling about players we're interested in, mainly in CM.
A few things dont sit right for me. Firstly it's claimed these players will cost £2-4M, secondly its a congested area of the squad anyway and thirdly, we seem to have more pressing areas for improvement.

If BBM isn't looking for a squad overhaul and is after quality, not quantity, a CM possibly isnt where I'd expect big business or we'll be disappointed elsewhere.

It'll be interesting to see what he's got up his sleeve.

A 22 year old 24 cap Estonian international is the latest rumour.

With Wintle gone we obviously need a new defensive midfielder, ideally with some experience. Yes, we have some youngsters who could do the job in the future but they have done little or no time in the Championship.

Whether or not VT wants to pay out for the guy mentioned above or a much lower amount for someone like Charlie Savage none of us will know until it happens but we cannot rely on existing youngsters to take on the mantle in what will be a much tougher league.

As others have said we could use a dominant new cb, a winger with a more reliable end product and another centre forward as, while I admire Robinson's value to the team, he has no pace and to me is past his use by date.

Agree with all that Bluey, but I just wonder if Robinson might surprise us all this season. His goals/minutes ratio is far better than Salech and he has the ability to unlock a defence on his own rather than relying on a "service".

By all accounts he's a great squad player and whilst disappointed with his selection ratio, is very supportive of the overall "cause". I used to think he was selfish on the pitch to the detriment of the team, but his assist in laying on Salech's goal for the fifth against Northampton was as unselfish as you can get - he could easily have hit that himself.

Robbo could have a big part to play as a top squad member in what looks to be lining up to be another very young squad in a difficult division.

I’m afraid I don’t share your optimism on Robinson. He doesn’t do enough off the ball and his lack of pace shows. A bench warmer at best - he’s not far off being a genuine journeyman.
