    Apperantly aresnal cheif scout is watching Luke shaws progress they see him as there new Target of saints academy. I was thinking about what cortesse has said about 50% of are squad to be from youth do u believe this well be possible with the likes of aresnal man city/united chelsea Liverpool when ever we produce a good talent all they attention turns on that player and we got bids comin in which makes it hard to keep are best talents. I know cortesse and adkins have said were not a selling club but with bids of 15 mil for 17year olds can we with hold?

    With the new rules introduced by the Premier league, these kids won't go for millions anymore. There's an interesting article in this months 4-4-2 magazine that explains the new EPPP. it's just wrong.

    Well fortunately for us.. Because of our state of the art youth facilities our players won't be subject to stupid compensation deals

    Why would the kid sign for one of those before breaking into our first team? Once he's 17, the same rules apply as they do for any other professional player.

    Offer him a contract an start giving him a few cup games/send him out on loan <ok>

    He'd only get money once he'd proven his worth. With all of these kids, their starting wage will be pretty low with bonuses attatched for appearances/goals/assists/performances/clean sheets, then increases after so many appearances. What chance does he have of breaking into a really top side before breaking into ours?

    Luke Shaw has a pre-contract agreement in place, a pro deal will become active when he hits 17

    in regards to 50% of the side from academy, i believe this can happen with the current crop of youngsters we have - our golden generation

    I'd hope it's considerably more than a golden generation. A golden conveyor belt would be much more special.

    as long as the golden conveyor belt is for Saints purpose and not Arsenal im happy with that!

    Is there any chance that at some time in the future Arsenal might consider developing their own youth system? Only an idea, might be cheaper for them in the long run, than paying double digit millions for our players!

    he signed a pre- contract agreement 13months ago, and a pro deal will come into effect on his 17th birthday next July as long as he is here but effectively he is a pro
