That's the same nonsense the pundits keep churning out I'm afraid ...We sat back against Coventry in the 2nd leg trying to defend our lead with the hope of getting another. We didn't really come into it until the 85th minute.
We've also played like that for large part of the season.
Arsenal got a goal and tried to contain PSG in the hope of getting a 2nd which Havertz should have done.

... in that game we had the same touches in the box as them, who had to score, and twice the attempts on target.
Patterson was a virtual spectator and made one save in the entire game. If I'm wrong tell me what saves he had to make, what chances Coventry had and how many shots were cleared or penalties appealed for?
You're really clutching at straws with this, no idea why tbh. They created a number of chances that were either blocked, put wide or over the bar, yet still created as many chances as us against nearly 7 or 8 players in the box for large periods of the game.
I hate the phrase that people use when they say football won. The only way that it's true is when the game is decided without a howler from the ref or some sort of cheating.
I'm sure I seen our individual performance of the year was Roefs down at Palace lol
No the taxpayer does and they get it on the cheap the rent even gets halved now because they got relegated - absolutely ridiculous

Coventry, in a game they were losing, had two attempts on goal and one cleared off the line in two hours of football.
Various people have basically said they found Arsenal, and that game, quite boring ...
... that's their honest opinion and mine, for a major final it was really tedious.
Anyway, I'm happy to accept I may be wrong and football was the winner tonight.
All the best mate.
Just an honest opinion of the game that was played out.
All the bollocks of football won is crazy talk when we've done exactly the same over the last 24 months.
Let's hope we never have to rely on playing that way in a European final next May.
You might want to tell a few of our lads not to get us going after winning a corner or throw in like they've done multiple times this year.
It's about building positivity, getting the fans going and putting pressure on the opposition.
.I might want to tell our lads to score 20 odd goals from corners over the season then they can celebrate like its a goal when they get one.
Mate if we had spent 1 billion putting together our squad and we relied on set pieces all season and parked the bus in the champions league final I'd be absolutely chuffed to fu ck we had won the league and made the champions league final and no one could piss on them chips! But and its a big but we would be absolutely slagged off by other fans, like Arsenal are but unlike Arsenal the media would slag us off aswell and unlike Arsenal I doubt we would get refs and Var turning a blind eye to us grappling in the box like.they have all seaon!

That’s a hard one…lolMcCoist shouting, 'What Arsenal need now is a corner!'
Seriously, it's dreadful when praise if heaped on a team relying on 'dead balls' ...
... sounds like a pensioner with erectile dysfunction![]()
I agree they've bought some average players for high fees, but PSG have spent a grotesque amount down the years + play in an League where they can chill for half the season. Arsenal have played more games than anyone in the top leagues on top of being in the most competitive league.
It's a sad state of affairs when people want a team from our own country to get beat.
That's an Eeeeeeexxxxxxceeeellllllent review Charles. Especially the Milan side reference and the Fergie treble winning side. Giggs, Keane, Scholes, Beckham were elite.Poor game featuring two very overrated teams, if you ask me. Arsenal are dour, sterile, attritional (like the Arsenal teams of the 80s and 90s) with an unlikeable manager. I wanted Arsenal to win as they're a English side in a European final (other than the mags and probably Boro I support all English teams in Europe), but I'm not disappointed that they lost. In the same way I'm not enthusiastic about PSG winning it either. PSG play nicer football but are still a team basically built and bankrolled by a petrochemical state for sports washing and also have an alleged unpleasant bloke as manager. PSG also play in a weaker league so can rest players regularly through the season and had a two week break before the final. But if that's the best they can produce with that advantage, they aren't all that themselves.
There are far better teams historically, like the AC Milan team of the late 80s-mid 90s, Real Madrid, Barcelona with Xavi and Iniesta, Fergies treble winning Man U for example, that would have beaten both teams tonight the way they both played.
Were they worse than PSG? PSG did precisely what Coventry did against us int he playoffs last season. Loads of the ball. Nothing with it.A more expensive Stoke under Pulis! Nobody wants that to be succesul surely?
I usually want the English team to win, except the Mags, but tonight wasn't too bothered. PSG and Arsenal both have reasons not to like them but I have no sympathy for them after they played like that and as for that stuttering run up and missing the goal at pens!
