Chuckle brothers policingI went to the police station about a criminal matter and the guy said it was a civil matter. I asked to speak to a senior officer and he said he'd have me arrested if I didnt leave. I wrote to the chief inspector and he admitted they were wrong and it was a criminal matter and my report shouldnt have been rejected.
Another time a council lorry was driving dangerously. The council said they wouldnt do anything unless it had been reported to the police. Nothing was getting done by the police and when I looked into it the police admitted the offence had been committed on the boundary of two police districts and they'd been passing it backwards and forwards between the two districts until the CCTV had been deleted.
Sunderland is a one club city. In the past we have always had a drift of support between the football and the rugby league clubs because some fans do follow a winning team and of course a bit of silverware. It is far easier to win silverware in rugby league then it is in football and one club cities like Sunderland do not have to compete with that.I know what you mean. The two FA Cup games against Stoke and West Ham (about 42k and 34k IIRC) in '71 and '73(?) plus the Man U league game in '74 can skew your memory, but it seems we've always had a pretty fickle fan base. I'm convinced that's because we've had no history of success in the way that, say, Sunderland has and that sense of optimism is handed down through the generations despite very few fans having experienced it.
We beat Coventry 1-0 in the FA Cup at Highfield Rd and Chilton played for them that day.Yes
I remember going to Highfield Road and seeing him play against us. Didnt we lose 3-0?

Pretty sad follow up on this one.
I got back to the states and finally sorted out a new phone. Unfortunately, it turns out It was one of our own who decided to take the phone back to Hull after the game and not hand it in.
I have the exact address where the phone was located on Monday in Hull. Very close to Sirius Academy.
How do people handle this stuff in the uk? Are the police interested? Do I name and shame?
Curious to know what others would do found near me in Catergory 1 on the East Stand side at Wembley, it was handed in to the chief of security fella within two minutes of it being found.
24/02/73 Coventry 3 Hull City 0 was the FA Cup match I was thinking of.We beat Coventry 1-0 in the FA Cup at Highfield Rd and Chilton played for them that day.
We beat them at Coventry in the FA Cup the season before, 1972? 1-0, Frank Banks hit the post and Waggy scored from the rebound. Sure Chilton played for them, he was certainly at Coventry then24/02/73 Coventry 3 Hull City 0 was the FA Cup match I was thinking of.
It looks like Chilton had already left Coventry by then.
According to Wiki Chilton left in 1972 before the 3-0 match in 1973.We beat them at Coventry in the FA Cup the season before, 1-0, Frank Banks hit the post and Waggy scored from the rebound. Sure Chilton played for them, he was certainly at Coventry then

They need naming and shaming. That sort of thing leaves a bad taste.-

my kids have already found the names of everyone listed on the electoral role at the house in question. It's unlikely the person's name will be known unless the police get involved.
