Rumours that 73 year old Jordan Henderson has been picked for the squad while Wharton, Foden and Palmer haven’t.

Toney is a bizarre pick. Do we need 3 centre forwards plus Rashford and if so, someone that plays in the middle East? Take Gibbs-White over him.
That defence worries me.
I have a nasty feeling this World Cup will be very different to recent tournaments for England and an early flight home.

For me Spence is the most bizarre selection, can't even get in our defence! But to be fair to Tuchel it would have been easy to pick all the 'names' on reputation, and had an unbalanced squad but in the main he has picked on form and performances in the shirt for him.
Henderson (J) and Burn are the other 2 that shout at me as out of place. Gibbs-Whites form should have got him in, other than that I am not that bothered by the omissions. James fitness worries me, he may have to be nursed through the tournament.
But Pickford, James, Konsa, Guehi, O'Reilly, Anderson, Rice, Bellingham/Rogers, Saka, Rashford and Kane looks a a solid first XI expect that whoever out of Bell/Rog starts on te bench + Gordon, Watkins and Madueke will get plenty of minutes, and that in the group Stones and James may be swapped in and out with Konsa at RB if Stones plays.

Slabhead over Quansah.

Palmer over Madueke.
Would’ve found a spot for Wharton too, probably in place of Burn.
Although I am not familiar with Jarell Quansah so I might be missing a trick there, but Slabhead has never let England down.
I think you have to take one of Madueke or Bowen to back up Saka. Palmer doesn’t really do what Tuchel wants off the wing.
If anything I’d have taken Palmer over Eze, just because I think neither of them will play much and Palmer is the better of the two players ultimately.
