The whole defence reeks of ineptitude. How the **** did we stall the hearing for the best part of two weeks and then serve up that load of nonsense?

And then you have Parsons sending internal staff email alerts telling them the club is very confident in its legal position. It shouldn’t have been, it was a total ****ing shambles

Eckert has to go and there’s a good case for Parsons going as well, his response was wholly inadequate and ill-judged considering he’s the CEO

A total lack of name checks for Johannes Spors so he’s either squeaky clean or the slipperiest eel of the set. You choose

Yeah that Parsons confidence yesterday looks even worse now. Shocked his 'yeah but look over there' basis for appeal didn't work <doh><laugh>

He absolutely has to go for me. Clearly miles out of his depth.

Yeah I noted the lack of mention of Spors by name, I tend to think it's the latter of the two options. Guess we'll find out next couple of days.

Hopefully Will Salt is spared an FA ban.

Parsons and Tonda shouldn't be waiting to be sacked. They must both realise they should resigning?

Even before all of this, I wasn't a fan of Parsons. Haven't warmed to him since day one. Far too much focus on off-field stuff, when the best way to generate more money is on-field results. (Reminds of when Spurs said the other month something along the lines of being in a great position as a business, except for the football.)

I've never liked him either, thought he came across terribly at the fans forum last year.

I'm not going to read it. Ignorance is bliss. Have spent the last few hours working out the logistics of my hiking holiday starting Sunday. Going to hike the Cumbria Way straight into the Hadrians Wall Path. Can't wait, not least because it will be the best part of 2 weeks away from having to read or think about Saints (or anything else going on the world really).
Sounds absolutely brilliant! Where do we all meet and what time?

Enjoy!

I'm probably in the minority of one here but I'm genuinely more pissed off with the boards reaction to it then I am with the actual spying. We got charged, knew we had done it and rather than immediately seeking top top barristers, these idiots pretty much shrug their shoulders, smile at the EFL and ask who to make the cheque out to.

The ****ing sheer rank arrogance to believe that we weren't in serious ****. The sheer amateur response to it should be studied.

There's a reason top corporate jobs pay ££££ is because there's supposed to be a strategy for this sort of thing the second you're aware.

We lost the media battle, we lost the boardroom battle and most importantly the legal battle. Jesus, I've never worked in football and would have handled things a hell of a lot better than these ****ers

I know what you mean mate, totally. As soon as we got rumbled, it’s Parsons job as CEO to make sure the club is in the best position possible to defend itself. Whether we did right or wrong - clearly wrong - he is paid handsomely to protect the club and steer the ship. He failed miserably with his response to this

The EFL showed once again that they continue to drop clanger after clanger too. Imagine if we had delayed the hearing enough, and this evidence didn't come to light until just after the final, and we won the game? The fact that the first leg wasn't postponed, and especially the second leg, is looking more and more moronic as the days go by.

Nah you're not mate, I said either yesterday or earlier today I'm much more annoyed at the whole amateur way we've gone about it than anything else.

Throw in the bullying and the doing it at a 3rd party's training ground and it's a true shambles.

Yeah then the dream scenario potentially could’ve played out. Saints go to Wembley, win, everyone has a great day, then a couple of days later this all comes to light and we get kicked out so we don’t have to go up.

Millwall and Wrexham have to be giving serious thought to action against the EFL here

To expand on my police station analogy from last night...

We basically got nicked on suspicion of GBH and instead of waiting for our solicitor went straight into interview and said 'Yeah I beat him up but it was self defence' because we didn't know we were on CCTV so thought lying was foolproof.

After being charged we then met the bloke the next day and said "Yeah sorry mush, but don't worry I'm happy to do the community service".

After being informed that the police were investigating two more assaults we contacted them and said "yeah they were me too, but I really don't think I should go to prison cos I've not really gained anything from it"

Then we got sentenced to prison and we've cried like a little bitch and appealed on the basis of "but look at this mush in Luton who committed a completely different offence and got a different sentence doe!!!"

Complete ****ing simpletons.
