Wintle far and away better than Turnbull. The latter has rarely impressed and can be moved on.
Tend to agree with that Bluey. I liked Turnbull when he came to us, and to be fair thought he got a raw deal selectionwise on times, but.................

That nasty hamstring tear he got when Riza was playing him regularly cocked up his progress and the surgery he needed set him back big time. He has undoubted skills but doesn't display any urgency (to me anyway) around the pitch - skilfull with the ball but Joel Colwill he is not.

There's a decent player in there somewhere and maybe the Championship where he played under Riza is a better vehicle than our season in League One - but can we afford to wait to find out? For me, a decent squad player lacking in the dynamism to make a difference.

Disappointed, but some odd comments from him.
During his 5 years he probably spent more time out of the team or on loan, than playing for us.

Sounds more like he isn't wanted than didnt want to be here.
His wanting to play every game might have been an issue.

Its a loss though.

A real shame. Named player of the year by his team mates and club player of the year but we do have a glut of midfield players so his loss will probably be felt less than others.

Granted none of our others at present quite match his all round game apart from perhaps Robertson but I've no doubt BBM has ideas (or a replacement in mind).

So long and thanks for all the fish Wints <cheers>

Thats 2 years on the trot player of the year has departed (kiss of death)

A big loss but he says the decision was completely out of his control.

So, did the club release him without any options to stay? Did his agent say he should be paid more or should have a longer contract?

All very strange. None of the present squad can play his role to the same level so BBM must have someone lined up. Charlie Savage maybe?

Ahh, I see the forum is back in business...................at least some more good news............

Great news.

To only lose Wintle thus far is good going.

Long way to go yet but I'm sure a few others will head for the exit soon (Dalaand and Etete for starters),:then it's all eyes on incomings. :emoticon-0142-happy

Good to get the list out early although I feel there will be some moved on especially if they see limited or no opportunities.

Sad to see the youngsters shown the door but I suppose that is the nature of the game.

Its a cut-throat business.
I hope BBM had input to the 21s and 18s with players that fit his vision being retained.
The only name in the leavers that I thought might stay was Spiers.
Sad that youngsters have to go, but lets hope the sausage machine is ramping up.
A couple more in and around the 1st team squad, a couple out on loan and another positive season for them in their leagues.
