Could be lots of reasons. People in the media often know things they either won't publish because it would harm their relationship with a person or organisation or can't publish until a certain date or time.
Agreed. I obviously can’t vouch for anything other than the Ed text. As far as I know that isnt common knowledge so other people coming up with the same punishment is interesting. That level of punishment is also where my head is at listening to all the arguments. It’s pretty severe but (assuming our guilt) would definitely be acceptable assuming we get to play on Saturday!

Would also make sense how Fibson has made the statement and he has leaked **** as he is pissed. Trying to set the groundwork for a private claim against SFC

I think the 4.5m and -6 points was floating around since Friday on the Boro boards. There was a voice note posted on Twitter. Almost certainly from someone who had no clue. And I think this has just been rehashed
If this is true I expect we’d appear for a reduction and the very least the points to be a suspended one. Because this being equal to what Leicester did and more than 20x the Leeds fine sounds OTT
Unless the theory would be hoping that the size of the fine would stop Gibson pursuing it further - it won’t. Gibson will come after us if there is any punishment that is not them getting a bye to the final

6 point deduction? I can’t see it. Chelsea got a fine for a lot worse recently.
If we start the premier league with a 6 point deduction we are as good as down

Especially with the play offs being extended to the top 8.
