Isn’t most tort actions almost pointless anyway, in that they don’t pay much out by means of compensation?

And I wasn’t sure how we trespassed if we were in a public place. Hadn’t he paid for a coffee or something?

The best case scenario is that the intern's employment ceased in 30th March , the location was open to the public, the images never got forwarded to Saints and there is no paper trail to implicate us. It is a total over reaction to the actions of a former intern.

i do not think we will be kicked out. I am not even convinced by a points deduction. We will be playing at Wembley on Saturday.

Gibson's legalclaim will centre on a direct chain of causation vetween the spying and Boro's failure to win. They had 2 90 mins olus extra time to achieve the victory. They did not do that. Even if anything useful was filmed, which i doubt, how do you demonstrate that it benefitted us. The statement by Tonda earlier in the week says a lot. I do not believe for a minute that the spying was sanctioned.

I was worried that more clubs would have come forward with allegations. They haven't.

I feel most sorry for Hull fans. This is realku a non story. I can see a small fine , no points deducted and Saints in the final. Any legal case brought by Gibson will have to deminstrate it is the club who have spied and that we benefitted as a consequence. He will never win that argument.

If you read the logic in that statement regarding trespass, it does not prove a thing. It would need to be takenby the land owner. There is no loss to the land owner and i do wonder if any signs prohibited access.

Ya I agree and there seems to be lots of conflated issues there also.

I do hope we push the EFL to remind Boro of their own responsibilities as I believe they are now bringing the game into disrepute.

They already have brought the game into disrepute by their antics and wild conclusions without offering a shred of information that would assist the general populace in football.

Brinksworth

I think everyone feels the same about this but was wondering just how much of this misinformation has come directly from either the club or Fibson ?

What a mess.

Guilty you should be kicked out

Not Guilty sue Boro.

If there's evidence of further cheating it gets really messy.

The final is Saints v Hull.

The media has allowed the narrative to be Boros revenge not a reasonable punishment for saints.

I still think they have massively overplayed their hand. There is no way an independent panel looks at our mush in a bush, the Alan partridge sky report and Boros Star Wars intro monologue and think this is most serious instance of cheating in football ever that it is being made out to be.. Surely...
