I'd burn money if it helps us get promotionIs it? If you've got money to burn perhaps.
We have different priorities I think PeteI'd burn money if it helps us get promotion
It is half term luckily the week after , but a night game no good for the really young kids , and parents getting time off work another matterIf the match is moved to a night I feel sorry for all the kids who will have been so excited about going to Wembley, putting on the face paint etc, now they won't be able to go because it will mean a day off school, possibly two, late return and parents getting fined for non attendance - well done Southamton, you bunch of cheating ****s
I would argue it is the EFL’s fault a bit.
They could have foreseen this type of event and had a clear summary ruling in place.
That way if clubs knew spying would or wouldn’t potentially result in expulsion from the competition it would be easier to determine next steps. For example if it said the maximum sanction was fines and points deductions we’d could have all just got on.
If it said expulsion you’d hope that would have acted as a deterrent in the first place but at least we’d have all had a bit more to go on from the start.
I'm coming around to the feeling Marv they will do the latter. The feeling against Southampton I think spreads from every boardroom in the country and thats without the clubs with evidence and the whistleblower. They have to uphold the integrity of the game. I actually can see a situation where they say, Southampton are eliminated with additional sanctions but Middlesbrough were beaten over two legs and that Hull City are promoted by forfeit. Some may think im stupid, some would be right.I keep flipping between the EFL will bottle it and just a financial penalty and points deducted next season
To they will be aware that this punishment will set a precedent and throw the book at them

Changes to Dates, Refunds & Exchanges
6.1 No guarantees can be given by the EFL that the Match will take place at a particular time or on a particular date. The EFL reserves the right to reschedule any Match without notice and without any liability whatsoever.
6.2 In the event of the postponement of a Match before you have entered the Ground and before kick-off, the Ticket will be valid for the rearranged playing of the Match.
6.3 Where a Match is postponed after you have entered the Ground, but before the Match has kicked-off, entry to the Ground or any substitute Ground for the re-arranged Match shall only be permitted on presentation of the ticket and subject to compliance with any other requirements announced by the EFL at the time. In the event of the abandonment of a Match after kick-off you will be entitled to either (i) a sixty per cent (60%) refund where abandonment occurs before the start of the second half of the Match or (ii) a forty per cent (40%) refund where abandonment occurs after the start of the second half of the Match but before the final whistle. In these circumstances you would need to purchase a new Ticket if the Match was rearranged.
6.4 In the event that the EFL holds the Match ‘behind closed doors’ or the postponed or abandoned Match is: (i) not re-arranged; or (ii) the Ticket holder is unable to attend the rearranged Match, the Ticket holder will be entitled to a refund of the face value of the Ticket (including any booking fee or related transaction charge and any postage costs). The procedure for obtaining such a refund shall be announced by the EFL and/or the applicable Club(s).
6.5 In the event that the Ground reduces the intended capacity of the stadium after the date that Tickets were on sale, the EFL and Club reserve the right to cancel your Ticket and provide a full refund of the Ticket price paid (including any booking fee or related transaction charge and any postage costs).
6.6 In the event that a Match is moved to an alternative Ground from the Ground which was originally designated to host the Match at the time of purchasing the Ticket, and the Ticket holder is unable to attend at the alternative Ground, the Ticket holder will be entitled to a refund of the face value of the Ticket (including any booking fee or related transaction charge and any postage costs).
6.7 Where circumstances arise in which there may be an entitlement to apply for a refund in relation to an affected Match, the EFL or Club will publish a procedure for applying for the refund. Any refunds must be applied for within 28 days of the EFL or Club publishing the procedure for the affected Match.
6.8 This clause 6 sets out your sole entitlement in relation to the applicable circumstances set out. The EFL, Clubs and Ground owner will have no further liability whatsoever, including (but not limited to) any connected loss or damage, (for example, loss of enjoyment or accommodation or travel costs). No liability will be accepted for business losses
So no refunds if not on the 23rd.
We wont finish celebrating in the stadium until 8...The last train out of King's Cross back to Hull is 9:06pm.

Can you ignite some my way peterI'd burn money if it helps us get promotion
So they can come up with all those terms and conditions for a ticket, clearly defined for every eventuality AND YET
Spying on the opposing team 72hrs before kick off is illegal. Where's the term and conditions? Punishment and penalties?
A fish and a rabbit, it all sounds very catholic somehow.I feel a bit dirty after watching it. I wish you'd told me she was 58 before I went down rhe rabbit hole.
I was just getting into the Van Halen song when it abruptly finished.
Say Boro get in and we lose to them; it's another can of worms. Playing a team that lost their semi-final etc.If Southampton are expelled, it has to be a City bye.
You cannot say the competition was “tainted” enough to remove Southampton, but then selectively restore Middlesbrough while ignoring every other club potentially affected across the season. If Boro are reinstated because Southampton allegedly gained an unfair advantage, then clubs like Wrexham could equally argue they were denied playoff places by the same misconduct.
At that point, there is no clean line to draw.
City are the only innocent club left completely untouched by the allegations. Making them suddenly prepare for a different opponent days before Wembley creates a second unfairness caused by Southampton’s actions.
A bye is the only outcome that:
The punishment should fall on Southampton alone, not create further chaos for everyone else.
- removes the offending club,
- avoids rewriting the entire season,
- and prevents new sporting disadvantages for uninvolved teams.
But it won’t. We all know they’ll get a fine. Then beat us and all will be forgottenIf Southampton are expelled, it has to be a City bye.
