The dust has hardly settled, but as we prepare to don our oxygen masks to once again breathe in this rarefied Championship atmosphere, we can't but help ponder what awaits us at this exalted level.

Being the new kids on the block next season, we'd like to think we'll be welcomed by old Championship adversaries if only for an easy 6 points ready for the taking, and prime candidates for going back where we've just come from.

When I look at the opposition we'll face such as yourselves, Swansea and the Gogs, I fear the best we can hope for is survival. Finishing 21st will be deemed satisfactory as long as the 3 aforementioned sides finish below us.

I'm sure there are a few on that side of the channel who will enjoy engaging with like minded posters over here throughout the season. In the meantime feel free to welcome us back. <ok>

Hello OS, nice of you to pop by and hope you’re well ?

Have to say you were very quiet last season but tbh, it’s good to have a local derby with you guys again to look forward to, and let’s face it, it’s going to be a cold day in hell before the raggedy rovers play is the same division as us again !

As for our chances next season, we’ll need to see who gets appointed into the roles of Sporting Director and Head Coach/Manager and then whether there will be any money for them to to spend, or whether it will be a case of make do and mend again !

We won the Gloucester Cup loads of seasons when I was a kid
It seemed to matter a lot more then and we were in the Dan’s division for quite a few years

My teeth are all mine unlike yours it seems.

How would you possibly know that?

Anyway, I fear your reliance on dentistry to get you out that division is something of a longshot. Both Welsh clubs finished above you last season despite their alleged gum disease. Must be something to do with their feet rather than their oral hygene.

If you or your mates have any other stunning theories about how to beat the Championship opposition next season, please foward them to Brian Barry Murphy at CCFC as I'm sure he will need your help just as much as a good dentist.

Now for the rest of you over there less concerned with Molars and Incisors, can we have some Wisdom instead?

Your Welsh thats all thats needed. On a good day we can see the Welsh from Severn Beach pacing around hunting things with sticks!!
Yes, and proud to be Welsh as well, whilst at the same time being conversant with English grammar - it's "You're" by the way. The teeth you've got may be all yours pal, but I doubt you've got any wisdoms left.

For your information, the only things we hunt with sticks on the beaches these days are the boat people arriving from Bristol in search of a better life.

Despite the banter, I wish you good fortune in your footballing quest next season - but not too much and not as much as us. <ok>
