Gordon agrees terms with Bayern. Newcastle do their usual blustering “no he hasn’t” to try and look big, as it served us so well last Summer. I hope to Christ we’ve learned something and Gordon is just gone asap.

That would be Hall going then... If not immediately pretty quickly, because I think it's clear that Howe doesn't want Hall as his left back.

Young player of the year nominee Hall? Newcastle born World Cup bound hall? Yeah. Sounds bout right.

Howe will say it's about what's best for the team. If Howe gets a left back hall is as good as done at Newcastle United. If he's a good lad he can stay and pretty much spectate.

Find it funny on other forums and blogs you see people lamenting Anderson and Minteh being sold, blaming PSR, yet conveniently not linking it back to Howes mismanagement of Anderson and purchase of Tonali. Minteh was sold for about half we paid for Elanga and the same people who did that are still here.

I need to stop thinking about it too much and maybe will go get those happy pills.

It comes from an argument from ignorance. It's the assumption that no other option was available or no different pay could have avoided the psr situation in the first place.

PSR is pure ****housery and so is the latest form, but Howe or his deciples using psr as an excuse I'm not having.

Eddie Howe has had the 5th highest net spend since he was given the job at Newcastle and following his defeat of Paul Mitchell he had 250 million pounds and full control.

Apparently if he was drip fed that we'd not be in this situation....I'm sure other managers who had significantly less will be in full agreement.

Howe confirmed we’re not after a striker this summer. How the **** does a club go from the highs of 14 months ago to being a miserable, desperately unlikeable Ashley-esque ****show?

Oh dear..... Although it doesn't surprise me. I think after the sale of Gordon it's fwds we're in need of... Barnes is OK, but the others are all in need of an upgrade.

The signings of Wissa and Elanga in particular are going to hold us back in the fwd areas for years. The time excuse has been deployed, but they aren't going to get value out of either.

The fans all seem to be expecting huge numbers of incoming players this summer, but the reality is they'll sell 2 or 3 significant players , they'll bring in 3 or 4, they'll let a few squad fillers go, and they promote a few youth players to the 25.

Or just maybe the feeling is Woltemade will have a full pre season after a full season settling in and Wissa will have returned to full fitness and Osula continues to progress.

Yep, or maybe it's not.

Tbf Howe actually said 'not at the moment'

Someone could be sold and that would change... It's a fluid situation as always.

Btw that keeper SSN Switzerland claim is coming to Newcastle for £20 million

20 years old, from ligue 2. You’ll have to excuse me for thinking for a random, wild moment that we’d be after a first choice keeper this summer but then I remembered it’s Eddie so it’s going to be another 3 months of trying to add subs, because our first XI is clearly not worth upgrading.

Good... It's a sign of better recruitment

Ok - Pope is looking likely to leave. We're not signing Ramsdale. That leaves 2 players needed for the first team squad as a goalkeeper.

Now breathe
