Hmm I'm not so sure it's as absolute as that but fair point, I will defer to people who specialise!

Anyhow, the way Gibson is conducting this is pretty murky at best.

Why did you think they’ve made such a big thing of it over the past few days? Other than fearing correctly that they couldn’t beat us? Because they know this as well - once it moves onto the final their shot of being rewarded at our expense (once again - not how punishments for rule breaking usually work) goes out of the window

But I'm sure I have read the golf club have confirmed it was Will Salt as they checked the records on the payment software and he used his own card. If true, sharing that information to another business/ leaking to the press for a non legal matter is 100% a data breach.

The business is unable to access the customers information if the transaction was chip and pin or contactless. The only way they would know if it was a CNP (when customer is not present and volunteers the info) transaction.

Fair enough and thanks for sharing, I've only ever worked with systems that have customer accounts so it was always pretty easy to link together.

So the story of the golf club verifying it was him are just bullshit then.

I'm that ****ing sick of Middlesbrough, I ended up in a 15 minute rant about their ****ing team bus and that stupid "We shall be" slogan before the boy told me I was probably too deep into the hatred and I was boring him.

Who do we think actually did ID him then? I remember when this story first broke that someone had seen him on LinkedIn so why did it take a few more days to hit the press? Someone had leaked it from somewhere surely?

I read somewhere, that Boro looked at Southampton FC online and seen him listed there.
