Coincidentally, LBC reporting today he bought a house for £1.4m and paid cash (as you do) soon by after receiving the £5m. These coincidences will have some people try to imply there’s a connection.
 
Put aside your political preferences, does this smell good? This is a guy who earns an MP’s salary, a very large income from broadcasting, and an ex-pat donates £5m to him just before he becomes an MP. Immediately after that he pays £1.4m to buy a small mansion for cash.

He is dismissive when journalists ask him about it, walking away from the camera, claims initially it is for ‘security’ then changes his explanation to ‘it’s a reward for Brexit’. The parliamentary investigation he is undergoing won’t fin d anything because it’s looking narrowly at whether he followed process, not whether the whole thing calls into question his impartiality. That’s a judgement only the electorate can make.

I realise you won’t realise….. until you realise….. and nothing I say will help you see it. But I have my reasons for persevering.

What you’ve now done, after the deflection response, is to move onto the ‘they are all the same’ response line. It’s a false response for (at least) 3 reasons:
first, it makes Farage not one jot less unsavoury to say other politicians are unsavoury. My OP was about Farage not some other politician.
Second, the scale is different - £5m to a guy already earning what most of us would say was a lot of cash. It might be the same in principle as Starmers free suit and glasses but the scale is x 1000 or more. Billionaires are not renowned for wasting money, it’s a reasonable question to ask what was said billionaire expecting for his £5m.
Third, there’s evidence some are at it, not all. ‘They are all the same’ is lazy thinking.

(A) I don't think farage is savoury at all, but he's no more unsavoury than the rest.
(B) It matters not one jot to me if farages 5mill is any more than 2tk's suit/ not forgetting his gold plated personal to him pension enshrined in law for him only.
(C) If you consider that all m.p.'s are allowed untold expenses on top of their very generous pay to be not AT IT, then name one who doesn't do it... I call that all the same, now go and sing the red flag whilst contemplating the next fraud into no10.
