Wasn’t Horvat Anis’ replacement. Burgzorg was supposed to be our new striker. So it’s not an accurate report

Radek Vitek: Bristol City make bold plan for Man United loanee

I wish this were true, but I just don’t see it. Even if we had the money, we need to spend it in so many other places as well that we can’t spend it all on Vitek. We wouldn’t be any better off, possibly worse than last season if we did that.

I don't see it either but whatever the cost I'd go for it.
A keeper wins you leagues just as a top striker.
Vitek single handedly kept us out of a relegation battle last season.
With Vitek you know for certain what you're getting.......and for example the £6million or so we spent on strikers Armstrong and Maylu was £6million thrown out the window.
No, I'd definitely go for Vitek, worth his weight in gold.......and an extra dozen points at least over a season.
Like you, I can't see it happening.

It would be a start.
He saved us loads of times last season and is the reason we weren’t looking over our shoulder at the end of the season. His ‘clangers’ were comparatively few and far between. I’d be delighted if we signed him.
We absolutely do need to strengthen in other areas, but the GK area may not jump to mind because we actually HAD Vitek last season so it wasn’t a problem.

I don’t think I’ve ever agreed with you so strongly on anything before RP!!

Nigel Farage ?
Nigel Farage is like the knave who twists words to set a trap for fools. There’s a poem about that somewhere…
He promises unrealistic quick fixes to mend our problems.
He championed Brexit then blamed the fact it’s been a disaster on it not being done ‘properly’. It’s everyone else’s fault.
He’s a weasel and his election would destroy the UK as a nation and cause untold damage to our largely tolerant social structure and financial stability.
So no, we are at almost polar opposites on Farage - but we are absolutely united on Vitek.
If he signed for us - even for any loan - it would give us a springboard of almost guaranteed mid-table to build from.

I’ve never heard him promise quick fixes
But what he sees are the issues that British people also see every day and suggests solutions for them rather than promising the hogwash that Starmer regurgitates
As for Brexit the Tories are to blame for not being fully committed to it
And let’s not forget that Starmer wanted a rerun of the vote
