This is a direct response to more information being available to the populace through the Web. They can no longer keep info away and locked up so easily, so they change the law. Most of it to do with our alliances with the US and Israel.

Truly appalling.
WWII was meant to signal an end to fascism. Britain was behind various treaties and the advent of the European Convention of Human Rights to prevent the rise of authoritarianism again and protect people from state abuse of basic rights such as the right to fair trials, to free speech and to protest etc, yet here we are in Britain in 2026 taking huge steps backwards.
There has been a huge lurch to the right in our politics.
People have been brainwashed into thinking that it’s a good thing that government should deny their human rights.
The working class have been convinced that defeating a non-existent foreign enemy who travel in small boats is more important to them than provision of welfare, social housing, regeneration of their declining economic areas and ability to assert their rights when they need to do.
We’ve regressed to the 1930s; we haven’t learned from the lessons of the past. Despite having an allegedly libertarian Labour government, who are in fact just a continuation of the last Tory administration.
And it’s true if other countries too. A Hitler could come to power again somewhere.
What a crazy world we live in.

The fact that Starmer believes that somebody that ignorant people have spent twenty years claiming single-handedly crashed the global economy is the person who can help him is...pretty bloody good news for Andy Burnham, Angela Rayner et al

Stuart Prior, a newly elected Reform councillor has resigned after his tweets were exposed. He commented that whites were “the master race “ and “had bigger brains” (himself excluded, I assume) and that “Muslims are dirt”.
Farage has a lot to answer for. He has legitimised and empowered these vile idiots - and of course, he was the driving force behind this country’s biggest ever act of self harm in his previous guise as UKIP leader.

And then there's the one who suggested melting down Nigerians to fill potholes

B-b-b-but that's not as important as Zack Polanski embellishing on his CV!

What about the one they made up completely! I'm only surprised they didn't create some racist or homophobic social media posts for him just for authenticity!
On a side note, I don’t recall days of headlines 18ish months ago when it emerged that Rachel Reeves' LinkedIn claimed she was an economist at HBoS, when the reality was she was in charge of mortgages at one branch of Halifax

I think I mentioned it on here at the time

Drove past a pub earlier with a handwritten sign outside inviting people in “on 8th May to celebrate Victory Over Europe Day”.
Farage really has got into their heads<laugh>
I saw ‘outrage’ online that it wasn’t celebrated.

I left a comment reminding them its usually only celebrated on special anniversaries but surprisingly didn’t get a reply.

So in Ireland this Saturday, RTE are airing Father Ted instead of Eurovision

Slovenia, meanwhile, are airing No Other Land and other documentaries by Palestinian directors instead

Just thought I'd mention this...
To be fair it is the Father Ted Eurovision episode... I'm not sure that Slovenia has so relevant an equivalent! <laugh>

Talking of which..... <doh>

Hyperbolic certainly, but underneath it all there is a lot of historical accuracy in this latest Lego clip.
And as a communications exercise, they are continuing to smash it out the park.

I think you may have misunderstood what happened here. What Law do you think has been changed and by whom?

Proscribing Palestine Action is having a Draconian effect on citizens’ ability to protest legally and peacefully, with peaceful protestors charged with offences designed to deal with terrorism and receiving disproportionate sentences. The Terrorism Act of 2000 brought in by Tony Blair's Labour Party enable this kind of action.

We have just seen the stabbing of two Jewish men declared a terrorist act. The attacker was a known person with a history of mental problems and violence. With that attack of the two Jewish men he also stabbed a Muslim man, but that didn't fit the narrative authority wanted so that information was suppressed by MSM.
However the information came to light through the internet.

To declare that as terrorism enabled a Cobra meeting (really!) and also to use the extra police powers included in the terrorism act.

All for the act of a deranged human being known to the authorities as violent having stabbed people before. You don't need a Cobra Meeting you need to ask why is this man freely roaming about in society?
