We were crap but we’ve become a hard team to beat… better side after the pen. End of the day their keeper made two outstanding saves in the game, the second one was unbelievable . Bizarrely I’m quite pleased for him after what happened in Europe. Though I’d rather be less pleased for him and have the win obviously.

All still to play for. Chelsea will want Spuds down Moyes still Loves Wet Spam and will go all guns and we will be in holiday mode last game of the season. Spuds are still on for going down.
Btw what a fecking save that was you just don't save them.

unbekyevably- add him to the transfer rumours thread

So many said, we look lightweight with Aaronson, James and Tanaka, you were all 100% spot on. Bring on Gnonto and Nmecha and we look a whole lot better.

Why wait so long before swapping Tanaka, I swear he was falling over his own shadow. It’s games like this where I seriously question Farkes reasoning.
He's stubborn. The last time Longstaff came on he looked good but never got another look in. It was obvious that Aaronson was chasing shadows and getting outmuscled but he didn't see that Nmecha would offer more. Until very late.
But what do we know?

Its pretty clear, and has been all season, that Ampadu, Stach and Longstaff are our best midfield trio when all fit. Longstaff lost his place due to injury and hasn't had a look in since.

Aaronson, Gruev and Tanaka can do a good job when injuries hit but shouldn't really be first choice for very long.

Not much by the looks of things. :emoticon-0105-wink: Only kidding. All about opinions. Mine is:

The Guy’s just kept us up, one poor game with half a team missing and we all know his job better than him?

Side did look lightweight but even our physical players were losing the 50:50s. nmecha actually came on after an hour and much as I like Gnonto he hardly adds to the physicality. We brought on everyone off the bench whose balls have dropped.

Half the time farke gets accused of not being able to change a game… then when he does change one… it’s ‘too late’ or it just proves he got it wrong to start with. Etc.

we weren’t good today but there were mitigating circumstances. We were ****… he changed things and we improved, and we’d have won without the save of the season. I expected us to lose before kick off so I’m happy with a point.

Aaronsons been better this season when nominally a winger than a midfielder. Farke just loves his pressing.

Agree that longstaff was unlucky not to get his place back. I think Farke likes the tempo tanaka can set but AO struggles with physical/high pressing teams. I think it’s amps and Stach with a horses for courses 3rd option but I would agree that longstaff would be my default starter.
