We will always take the shortest route when it comes down to critical hiring and maybe this season won't change a thing. Is it my imagination or was Vyner transferred only because his contract was due to expire, because I have sneaky feeling that Wrexham may be looking at other candidates to replace him? There looks to be a lot of older City ex-players that may be on the market this summer so could we field an alumni squad, and who would you want back?

I noticed today that Liam Manning has left Huddersfield, probably for good, as he battles with the ongoing trauma caused by the tragic loss of his son while he was mmanager at Ashton Gate. Nobody ever wants that to happen to their family and I fully respect that hhe needs time out of the limelight to recover fully comforted by his family and close friends.

Get well Liam and all of us Bristol City supporters are fully with you in your troubled times and wish you our best wishes. Football is just a game whereas family is what matters most. :emoticon-0137-clapp

It is but I’d suggest they need to pull their finger out and get on with it

With the season over and a new manager needing to be identified and installed time is of the essence
I totally agree, it’s getting annoying now. We should have got both done before the season ended. We’ve so much to sort out contract and recruitment wise before the start of the season. Why do we always leave things so late.

Getting rid of our previous H/C when we did only made sense if we used the time to get a head start with bringing in a new S/D & H/C. As it is l see absolutely no point in hiring RH for seven games and just wasting that time, what a shambles it appears at present.

You hit the nail squarely on the head with those comments

We’re not a professional outfit when it comes to the efficient and focused running of a football club

Instead, the Lansdowns run it like a corner shop

Big rumour is, the SD is already in post and it’s going to be Mousinho as HC. Portsmouth cancelled their end of year media interview with him yesterday.
This is so Bristol City a man that has just kept Pompey up the last few seasons.
Underwhelming once again-STs I am finished I watch when and if they prove themselves.
Far better things to do than waddle down to the gate to watch the same old same old.

I'm guessing maybe, but you don't feel anywhere near the angst I felt over the appointment of Lee Johnson.
I stopped everything about BCFC, I just couldn't believe it.The trouble is RR it's in our make up, blood if you like, and no matter what you say or do you will revert, like I have, back to the City fold.

He kept them up twice on the lowest budget in the championship.

Strange, I had to look them up because I don’t keep an eye on them, but they would appear to be bottom half league 2, not Championship……….
