Rei has pocketed a fair few to be fair.
Had his arse handed to him a few as well like.
Been a great signing Rei bar the odd moment he loses his head, very good pickup.
two biggest signings this summer for me is an understudy for xhaxa and renildo, think we might get one more season out of them at this level
I don’t see why only one more season mate.
Players are staying fitter far longer, Xhaka is still elite and Rei is barely in his 30’s.
How professional Xhaka is he could play top level another 3-4 years easily.
There’s more than one year in each of them for sure but you absolutely correct 2 positions we need cover. Then a left sided winger and another forward, who I expect will be Abline.
i just mean i think we'll have 1 more season out of them playing week in week out at this level, after that i think it might be too much for them. might slowly become more squad players the season after, but the problem for me his how do you find a suitable replacement for xhaka ,
Modric has several years in Granit and is still playing elite level.
I do get your point but Granit is 33 and really the age of being finished has levelled up by 2-4 years in recent times

I wouldn’t say biggest but definitely on the list. Stronger depth there and our dip isn't as bad this year. Biggest signings are forwards who can nail half chances with gusto.

Yes he'll have better options who would pay him more money but nobody thought we could sign Le Fee when we were in the Championship. Then when we were linked with Xhaka no one thought he would pick up the phone never mind listen to us. Dembélé knows KLD and I wouldn't be surprised if they talk now and again, so why not? Give him a wage on par or maybe slightly more than Xhaka then the bonuses to include appearances, goals, assists etc to bump his pay up.

I'm not keen on abline personally and also don't think there's really a deal to be done.
When you think about it, we’ve done really well this season yet there’s a few areas we can improve on.
Our set pieces are poor, I think amongst the worst in the league.
If we can get a good set piece coach in for free kicks and corners we could probably increase our goal tally by 5 - 10 over the season. Our corners, for example. There was a time last season when Ballard and Cirkin were a real danger and we got a few goals using them. This season we don’t seem to be very effective.
Our weakest play seems to be our wings. Maybe if they either improve a lot or players like Nilson turn out to be special we can get a better supply to the forwards. Failing that, we get a top quality winger in.
The forwards are a bit of a puzzle. They are good but not scoring so many. Wilson can be good, Brobbey is a great option and Eliza I would look to loan to a club like Wolves or Burnley. I reckon we will get a good striker in.
These are not really criticisms. When we know what needs improving we can do something about it.
What we have done this season, even with these weaker parts of our team is excellent, so with some known improvements to be made (set piece coach, winger and striker) we can add to an exiting squad and make it so much stronger. The midfield, defence and goalkeeping don’t need much (unless Cirkin and Gerty leave)
So then, providing we don’t lose any of our big names, a striker and winger could be enough to strengthen the playing squad.

Just basing it on the club liking him last summer and Nantes being relegated.
They’ll need money in.
I mean it would be utterly wild and the friendship with KLD makes it feel like a 1% shot but signing Xhaka from Bundesliga and Enzo who wasn’t getting a game at Roma v the current Balon Dor is a big gap.
Yeah potentially, we never really know who the club actually like - there was over 200 transfer rumours in the summer.
Definitely agree they'll need money but their owner will hold out for as close to his valuation as possible, stubborn bastard.
