I think Serg and the team played a blinder, played like the away team and essentially reversed the tie. Millwall bought right into it. Sub consciously we have the home advantage in the next leg.
Pressure is off us now, even if it was ever on as the 6th place team.

They will have a full house expecting a result. We will have 2000 celebrating like mad at full time.

I think Belloumi and Millar are very one dimensional. Every time they get the ball they chop inside making them easy to defend. The oppo's know exactly what they're going to do. After 45 seconds, Belloumi goes outside his man on the left and causes havoc... Yu comes on and 45 seconds later goes outside and causes havoc. At the very least last night the wingers should have been switched just to give them something to think about. On Monday we have to give them something different to think about.

Pandur
Coyle Ajayi Egan Giles
Lundstram Slater
Gelhardt Crooks Joseph
McBurnie

Sergej hinted at needing to use his full squad with such a quick turnaround. Ajayi better suited to deal with Coburn, extra body in midfield, energy of Joseph. Can see Belloumi and Millar causing more problems off the bench than if the subs were the other way round.

That will do for me.

I'd start with that 11

Part of the reason why PSG’s front three are so hard to defend against (and great to watch). Their starting lineup is pretty irrelevant because the front three constantly rotate and occupy each other’s zones.

Now, I’m not suggesting we replicate that entirely because that’s impossible, not least because Enrique is a genius coach and his players are all elite and have been drilled into that system. However, I think the two wingers periodically swapping sides every 15 minutes to pose different problems for the opposition’s fullbacks would be interesting.

I thought we did that a bit yesterday. Belloumi's first run and shot was from the left, he was on the right about 10-15 mins later I recall.

I think that was just due to the initial positioning for Millwall’s set piece. Both Millar and Belloumi were on the left for that phase of play.

He’s our best defender from their set pieces tho.
I do think when Belloumi did that mazy run there was an opportunity to lay it on to the 6 yard line but Mcburnie wasn’t even in the 18 yard box cos he was defending in our box earlier
And that’s where the centre forward needs to be and he’s very good at that
Yep
Our strongest defender in the air
Fact he needs to do that causes us other issues

I think I’m in the general consensus, but I’ve been saying it for the last few games, start with Joseph left & Gelhardt right, bring Belloumi & Millar on after about 60 minutes, although I wouldn’t be taking Joseph off either, probably stick him up with McBurnie & drop Crooks in the centre with Slater.
I’m also thinking maybe start Ajayi, although I’m not a huge fan of him, but Hughes probably won’t be able to play 2 games in 4 days, I might be wrong, but I also think Ajayi gives us a bit of strength too, unless McNair & Egan start?
Some tough decisions to make either way.

Belloumi gave up after 50 mins. He basically hung his boots up. Pandur wanted options, but he was faced with Belloumis back. He lost interest.
Anyhoo, to win on Monday, we need Ajayi to be a ****, and Joseph to get in faces.
Oh! and Coyle should go and be a captain at Scunthorpe or Boston.

Spot on.
