Sorry it’s a quick turnaround so no chance to go into my usual depth on here!
Should we have gone for it more last night? Then coming onto us more should help our wingers but we need an end product from them
City 1-0

hopefully the trend of being better away continues. Gelhardt needs to come off the bench or play on the right IMO, he's been totally anonymous for a while in the 10.

Controversial, but I'd also look at benching McBurnie and bringing him on really early (50 mins), he's been fully gassed out after an hour in the last few games. Lumping it to him against Millwall of all teams isn't the best game plan. If the game goes to extra time, he'll be fully dead on his arse. Much better to let him run at a tiring defence.

Some very difficult decisions for Serj.

He’s our best defender from their set pieces tho.
I do think when Belloumi did that mazy run there was an opportunity to lay it on to the 6 yard line but Mcburnie wasn’t even in the 18 yard box cos he was defending in our box earlier
And that’s where the centre forward needs to be and he’s very good at that

Sounds obvious but first goal crucial, if we score I can see them coming at us and we pick them off and score a couple more on the break like one of our classic away showings from earlier in season , if they score im
Not sure we will break them down and get back into it . Would like to see Lundstram and Yu come in for Millar and Gelhardt or Belloumi

Belloumi was pretty frustrating last night , it was obvious the referee was letting
quite a lot go but he was going down at every contact and appealing for fouls

After the first few times you have to realise you aren't going to get the free kick
and actually try to stay on your feet and keep going

I think he's easily our most talented and skillful player but we do need to see some
end product from him

I agree with this, until he starts showing end product he’s like one of those people who used to come on the pitch at half time doing juggling tricks , fantastic skill but you wouldn’t put him in your team , even that run he did last night in first minute, amazing run but ****e at the end of it , frustrating

Yep
Hes clearly very skilled
But he needs to be delivering in the big games
And scoring far more

The players who end up good enough for the prem score 15+ in the champ

Hes a long way from that atm

Bowen and klp hes nowhere near... yet

He got far too easily taken out the game last night
Couldnt deal with a bit of strength from the millwall lad

Im not sure he should even start on monday

It seems almost consensus that Belloumi is a better player than Gelhardt and that signing Gelhardt shouldn’t be a priority.

I’d just like to remind people that Gelhardt has 14 goals this season playing primarily as a right-winger and Belloumi has 2. Belloumi has only played 1010 minutes this season compared to Gelhardt’s 2900 minutes but the difference in output is still significant. Belloumi averages 0.09 goals per game. Gelhardt averages 0.3 goals per game.

I tend to agree that Belloumi is a more technical player than Gelhardt but he needs to back it up.

The last 10 games Geldhardt has a total of 9 points in the MoTM threads and 8 of those came in the game against Birmingham. He's gone off the boil and needs benching, he's not even our player, we have players coming back from injury they are showing more in a few minutes at the end of a game sub appearance, they deserve more time on the pitch and Gelhardt less.

Id drop Millar, Belloumi and Gelhardt and start Lundstram/McNair Yu and Joseph.

Thought Yu and Joseph made a huge difference when they came on and should have come on after 5 or 10 mins in to the second half.

Then if we need a goal mid way through second half bringing on fresh legs of Millar, Belloumi and Gelhardt would be great

I'd start yu on Monday night, even game last night, stupid decision by humberside police to let both sets of fans out at the same time after the game last night

I would 100% sign Geldhart if it’s financially viable. Thats the only part I’m not sure about. Don’t think there’s many that don’t want us to sign him permanently, definitely not a consensus.

I do wonder why we dont try Miller or Yu on the right and Gelhardt or Belloumi on the left so they can put balls into the box without having to cut inside. McBurnie has proven that he can score from decent crosses in.
