Jakirovic: 'A very tough, very difficult fight'
Hull City boss Sergej Jakirovic said:

"It was very tough, a fight for every ball and every challenge.

"Maybe we had the best chance in the game through Mo Belloumi, and after [that] they were very dangerous from set-pieces and long throw-ins, but I think we handled this.

"It's a fair result. Like I said, nothing will be decided tonight.

"We made a correction at half-time to get closer to them and press like a group."

[On the disallowed goal] "It's a clear foul. I saw that immediately. If you take with the two hands and spin the player around it is a foul."

Figure caption,
Neil: 'I'm disappointed we didn't score a goal'
Millwall boss Alex Neil said:

"I'd be interested to see what the referee's thoughts on the disallowed goal are because I thought it was quite harsh.

"I thought all in all you could see that that [performance] should give us confidence to try and win the game on Monday.

"We didn't play as if we didn't want to lose, we played like we wanted to try and win the game.

"We need to remember that a lot of our lads haven't really played in this type of match before and the only chance of note they had was right at the start.

"I'm not naive, I think that when we go back to our place Hull are really comfortable soaking up pressure and playing on the counter-attack.

"I thought the atmosphere was good and that's what you get in the game for."

Anyone think Belloumi should play left and Geldhart right on Monday... first minute showed what Belloumi can do going outside...

One for thr Gaffa.

Both wingers had their moments, but tonight’s Ref was no fool and intended to keep the game flowing no matter what. Neither of our wingers had the sense or strength to stay on their feet when challenged. For all his dribbling Miller in particular was as weak as pizz under pressure tonight and Belloumi spent more time on his back then Katie Price.

UTT.

I thought we were okay tonight

We made some chances but didn't take them. They wasted some of theirs.

They were very physical but Hughes/Egan soon got the hang of that after a few shaky moments initially. Our full backs kept their wingers quiet.

Our wingers looked dangerous but were wasteful.

Looking forward to Monday - we're better away anyway (and so are they and they've drawn this).

Still not impressed by Millwall. They are bang average. They were there for the taking, with a bit more composure.
they're a very effective team, similar to us in many ways with physicality all over the pitch and a willingness to go direct to a beast of a target man, didnt creat that much tho for a team with most of the ball

An extra later train to London would of sorted this....but common sense and practical solutions tend not to happen these days ?
Special Trains for football fans aren't exactly a new thing.
You cant just run a train when you feel like it. It takes weeks of planning. The east coast main line wont just grant an additional service with 3 or 4 days notice. They haven't had time to even consider that. Nor would hull trains want to do it. They had a unit wrecked today as it is just bringing them down

Give everybody a chance to get out of the stadium without being harrased by 500 people with a collective of 3 active braincells
They would have still had to move those people into town with groups of little.gimps from hull everywhere. They got the cps to clear the cells this afternoon, they knew a lot of the Millwall fans would not leave hull tonight.

If anyone is to blame its sky for demanding a game like this be played on a friday night when there is no suitable train to pen them onto.

From where I was stood, right next to Millwall on the steps, there was only one group starting this and it was the city fans safely at the bottom of the steps giving it large. I walked with Millwall into town, they didnt give a toss and just wanted a beer.

I did think the same, although I think I’d start with Gelhardt right and Joseph left, with Mo and Millar coming on once the fullbacks are tired.
I’d also play Crooks as the advanced midfielder, with Slater and Lundstram behind.
