Spring has sprung.

Lots of fly hatching at our club fishery with trout rising to take advantage of the feast. Swallows have arrived and are joining in.

Down at our daughters today. Birds singing their heads off, moved some of the later lambs out of a shed on to grass, calves that have been in a shed all winter out on grass as well, though still getting corn each day.

Goat doesn't look happy.

Looks a lovely day with you Remote. <ok>
Pygmy goats are funny creatures. That one belongs to daughter's friend. It is very curious about things. Wife's two are quite different.

It isnt a bad day. A bit breezy though. Its been blowy for a couple weeks. Quite mild today.

Just heading out for lunch at a pub that does a reduced rate menu at lunch time.

Pensioner's delight?

We're in Gdansk, food and drink very cheap. Need to do a lot of walking in next few days to burn the calories.

Weather very good although the wind is a bit fresh. Just like Porthcawl. <whistle>

After fencing in Cheshire on Wednesday, it was fencing in Stafford on Thursday. Not stock netting, just a couple strands of barbed wire. Got the cuts to prove it.
A couple hours flat rolling a field then. Managed some decent stripes a couple hundred yards long.
A nice walk through the lanes with the dogs as well.

Stocking our club trout lake in the morning.

How busy was the airport on arrival, Bluey?

I was thinking of going over to Krakow but I’ve read some awful stories concerning the new EES system.

I was thinking of going over to Krakow but I’ve read some awful stories concerning the new EES system.

Had to queue for about an hour at Gdansk airport for facial recognition photo and fingering, sorry, finger printing. Just like being arrested at footie. <whistle>

I read there were major issues at the 3 main Polish Airports on Tuesday and an Easyjet plane left Milan minus 100 passengers.

We will allow an extra hour for the airport tomorrow.

Did Krakow a few years ago. Loved it. You have to go to Auschwitz and Birkenau.

Wasn't really sure where to post this but I saw the sad news that Dai Hunt has passed away. It sounds like it might have been some time before the weekend.

He was a real fruit loop of a bloke but can't deny he was 100% Bluebird through and through.

RIP Dai. <peacedove>

Not long back from our small holding. Been watering the fruit trees we planted a month back, then doing a bit in the veg plot. Put my wig-wam up and planted the runner beans then dug over where the cucumbers will go.
Going to the car, stuck my head in the stable the pygmy goats use as shelter. Nearly got a swallow in the eye. Theyve been streaking about the sky for a couple weeks, but the first time Ive seen any in there. Weve had nests in the stables for years.

Sitting in the garden checking this forum and the salmon fishing forum I frequent when theres a few quacks and the dog is hurtling round the garden barking at the roof.
Its only 100 yards to the pond as the duck flies.
