Politics is clearly polarised right now.. The scary thing facing the UK is a government run by a Posh Boy, Trump Wannabe. I despair at the working class in the UK blindly following this Eton Moron taking our country into a direction that will take years and years to Fix. He doesn't give a toss about the working classes, yet for some reason he has support and its based on securing borders...sound familiar... Look across the pond. And look at their economy... thats what we are look at right now.
Any party who stands on a platform of getting back into Europe would garner massive support, if they spelled out what the alternative is.
If Starmer offered that as a Labour policy for the next GE I’m not sure it would win back that many voters. Some Lib Dems I’m sure though the Lib Dem voters who did so last time were more Tories who couldn’t bring themselves to vote Tory and not sure many would vote for any version of Labour. The Green cultists are too stubborn and just want to whinge from the outside rather than ever actually be in charge.

Don’t get me wrong it’s a perfectly sensible policy IMO but don’t think it would have the desired impact.

Reform are winning because they're directly courting a specific demographic, making people feel wanted and aligned. There has to be a way to find an overlapping politics that is unapologetic and broad at the same time, plenty of people who hate reform agree we need to secure borders, that needs to be a core tenet of a unifying party.
Trumps play book

Listening to Starmer this morning, nothing has been learnt, he will destroy Labour so Conservative and Reform should be hoping he remains.

Starmer - Worse than Boris
I'm in my mid-sixties and I can honestly say, I have never hated a Prime Minister more than I hate Starmer. He has divided and radicalised the country with his lack of an immigration policy and is trying his best to reverse Brexit without the need for another referendum. The polls don't lie. He is incredibly unpopular with the British people.

The centre ground parties (Labour, Tories and Lib Dems) have got to take the blinkers off and realise that immigration is a major concern to the British public, and this is why Farage and his cronies are sweeping the board. It's not a racially motivated far-right problem like we saw in the 70's and 80's. It's a genuine concern from normal hard-working British people from all racial backgrounds that unless something is done, this country will collapse under the strain, as we don't have enough money in the economy to fund all these people, we don't have the houses and we don't want the British countryside decimated to build lots of extra houses that would be needed.

Our current policy does nothing to discourage people who aren't fighting tyranny from trying to reach our shores through illegal means. We have to demonstrate that asylum seekers will be met, assessed within a week and either accepted or shipped out. Once it is seen that we are returning people in large numbers, the masses of people crossing the channel will subside.

As I said on another thread, I am a staunch anti-racist, and previously a member of the Anti-Nazi League, but I am massively concerned about how the lack of a system to deal with mass migration is dividing the country and costing it billions.

I don't want Farage in Number 10 because I don't trust him and his party attracts the likes of Robinson & Co, who I despise, but they are the only ones who seem to want to deal with this problem instead of sweeping it under the carpet in case it offends people or upsets the European Court of Human Rights and that's why we are seeing the results we are today.

I like what I'm hearing from Rupert Lowe's Restore Party with how they will deal with the immigration problem and hope Robinson & Co. stick with Farages lot, but it's early days for this party and I am waiting to hear their views on other matters. Lowe has stated that he wants to deal with this matter swiftly and effectively by employing more people to process asylum seeker claims, both legal and illegal. Lets not forget that illegal immigration slows down the processing of legal claims.

People shouldn't have to look to the emergence of new parties to deal with this problem, but the traditional 3 have their head up their arse and are too weak to deal with the matter. It'll be to their cost in the end.

Good post mate, only one thing that I think is wrong is I'm sure Robinson's lot are with restore party. I apologize if I'm wrong but I'm sure he is

Restore's only utility is as a pressure group for Reform from the right, their purpose as far as i can see is to try and pressure reform into not being too Tory. You can debate if that will work or not or if that's a good thing or not, I'm just saying it like I see it.

I'm not currently seeing that Lowe is attracting the far right. I know he was a member of Reform, but has broken away because he disagrees with many of Farages policies including inciting racial hatred.

As I said mate, if any of the traditional parties were willing to deal with mass immigration in the way Lowe is, there wouldn't be the clamour for other parties that we are seeing now. It's a desperate cry for help from the British people from all racial backgrounds.

It really isn’t.. as you will see in the Mid Terms.. he will become irrelevant and spend most of his days in a court room after December.. the moron has been a disaster for the working class in America.. they are slowly waking up to this

Trump reneged on America First in favour of a donor-driven Israeli foreign policy, yes that's all true, but who will they vote for in 2028? It's not Kamala or anyone like her, it will be Trump on steroids. The left are not learning.

I can't agree with everything but understand the concerns. Really well put mate.

Good post marra, but one big mistake,no one comes close to Thatcher as the biggest Cnut ever to lead this country especially for the north east

I know one of the Reform councillors that is likely to represent my area and it makes me sick knowing of the candidates background! My wife has zero interest in politics and when I just explained to her who is about to become our new local councillor she burst out laughing.
I’m no Columbo but just a little bit of digging and the candidate in question would be a laughing stock, there must be a screening for candidates surely, if there is I have no idea how this candidate was allowed to stand

Starmer - Worse than Boris
Boris never had an approval rating worse than Starmer. So many things are pointing towards him resigning which would be the best thing for the country and the Labour government. Yet, he just digs his heels in.

At this stage, he’s become an arrogant, power hungry, egotist. I wish he would just **** off now.

Democratic Party will win for sure.. The likes of Vance, Rubio etc etc are all complicit in the Trump disaster.. there are zero credible candidates from the Republicans.. Democrats will not chose Kamala but there are 3 or 4 very good candidates

Most of these new Reform councils will get found out pretty soon. In a perverse way these council elections could be the best news for Labour and the Tories in the medium to long term

Pretty much like every other PM in the last 30 years.

Eh? Lowe's approach to immigration is far harder than Reforms. He consistently states Reform wouldn't go far enough.
It's also a stance that appears to be appealing to a growing number or people.

I thought it was pretty obvious by now that Reform don't give a **** who represents them, as long as they're a bit racist.
