It’s funny because I haven’t been impressed with them when we’ve played them this season, even when we lost 1-3 at home. We were in control for large spells of the game at home and we shot ourselves in the foot when Pandur didn’t claim a low cross and they scored to make it 1-2.

Just looked at the stats for that home game:

City - Millwall
Possession: 56% - 44%
xG: 3.04 - 1.38
Total shots: 23 - 9
Shots on target: 5 - 4

Stats don’t tell you everything. Millwall were more clinical and did to us what we’ve done to many teams this season. However, the amount of chances we created suggests the scoreline should’ve been the other way around.

They have some quality players and a very good coach that we shouldn’t underestimate. You don’t fluke your way to 3rd. That being said, I think we’ve shown we can be a better team than them on the day.

That was also the game where Joseph's goal to put us ahead was ridiculously ruled out.

Speaking of Joseph, 2 goals at Milwall, and then a dynamite performance at home, think his old man is a Milwall supporter, so seems to raise his game against them.

Absolutely much more of a 50/50 match up than, say, Ipswich would have felt.

I went to the away game and we battered them. Easiest win of the season. We have nothing to fear, we just need to not panic in the first leg and don't make stupid mistakes.

Goes without saying that this will be tough but loved the clip of Alex O'Neil suggesting he was glad we got there as we deserved to be in it, and he liked our manager too. This season like us they've found a way to win, they're no mugs and under O'Neil they're a very well drilled team. Cooper at the back is a player I like, no nonsense defender but such a threat at set pieces. All that said, I see no reason that if we turn up we will turn them over, time and again we've shown this season that the better the teams the better we've played. Nice to get a chance at this given the last months form, but I suspect that dressing room will be absolutely buzzing right now.

He is also a diving cheat.

Not underestimating millwall at all

However
Im sure both of us would prefer boro beat southampton
