I can't wait to watch Modric in action, he's my favourite player in the Premiership who doesn't wear yellow and green - I just hope he has an off day that night
so you can't wait to see modric play badly... to be fair, he's one of my faves, and i love to watch bale too
Just to see him play, never seen him in the flesh before so it will be something to tell the kids in the future at least. Actually I would prefer it is he had an absolute blinder whilst all his team-mates have absolute shockers leading to us getting a result I was at Wembley for the England v Spain game a few weeks back and although the Spaniards didn't play at their best that day (although they still played pretty damn well) and it was a largely ugly, tactical battle for 90 minutes I was immensely proud to be able to say I was there the day we beat the World and European champions
I remember the first time I ever saw Gazza play, for Spurs against us at Carrow Road about 20 years ago. I'll never forget him in the warm-up dinking the ball in the top corner everytime from outside the box doing the old kicking it behind his foot routine. Genius with a ball at his feet that fella, an absolute loon at pretty much every other time, bless him.
Lets hope Naughton goes to the match next Tuesday. The Villa fans are giving Bent real stick for going shopping last week while Villa were playing. I'm undecided on that one. Footballers have wives etc and a life as well. But also they get plenty of time off during the week for shopping. I can't decide who is right. Now QPR have him on their radar.
I'll never forget watching him in possibly a Euro match but he couldn't get past this Spanish defender so he booted the ball at top speed straight into the guys nads from almost point blank range, Spaniard collapsed in a heap holding his bits n bobs and the ball bounced straight back to Gazza's feet - pee'd myself laughing at that one for a long long time
