Few points from his speech at the start (before the Q&A):

- We can be positive going forward because we own our best players. Under Liam, the better players were loans.
- Very happy with Sergej and Jared. Mentions going forward "with this coach" next year.
- Be in the stands, get behind them no matter what happens and show appreciation.
- Felt the decision at Sheffield United to give a penalty killed us.
- Thinks they, the club, should have done more to sell out more home games since January.
- Very happy with the away support this season.

Thought he was excellent tonight actually. Questions in the main were very good. Interesting call on the MKM branding and Hull FC...

When did the ground staff change happen...?

Apparently Thirkell helped to get the new groundsman in as he knew him

I'm surprised he's so open about needing to sell. Surely this will mean that clubs know they can play hardball with us. You don't let the other party know that you're desperate in a negotiation.

I also wonder who we can actually sell. There isn't an obvious player who's ready for a step up like KLP, Greaves or Philogene when they left. Hughes is the obvious one but I really don't know that he's ready for a PL move, so where is the big money going to come from? I think there's a chance someone comes in for Belloumi because he really is undoubted quality.

We can need to sell but if there's multiple clubs interested in a player they still have to give us the best offer. If we have to sell Hughes and Coventry, West Ham and Palace all come sniffing (or boro, Wrexham and Norwich if we think he's staying championship) those clubs still have to better each other.

Hughes, Giles, belloumi would all get a lot of interest. I'm sure someone could get suckered into bidding for Pandur. He's a Croatian international after all.. Burstow should be able to be sold for a profit, and kamara either stays or raises reasonable money if Portsmouth come in for him. Hopefully get omur off the books. Instead of one big sale I could see 15m being raised through Hughes, burstow and kamara going. I also wonder if anyone takes a look at Joseph, e.g if Millwall don't go up, he had perhaps his two best games of the season against them.

Got to say I was worried about the timing of this Q and A, but he spoke well.

Couple of concerns that he says he can't keep putting 20 mil in every year but also encouraging that there's another share issue coming soon to reduce the debt further.

Made a decent justification of ticket hikes.

Threw his weight behind the current management and core squad regardless of tomorrow.

Could have gone badly, but it didn't.

Despite his usual waffle at the start I thought he was much more sensible, quite obvs he can't keep bankrolling us, and with the fffp regs we need to sell to balance the accounts, should we not go up. No hysterics in there, no wild accusations (although I was intrigued about getting our money back from Villa, who basically shafted us by the sound of it). Positives about the coach, Jarrod Dublin etc, and about the support, even funnier when he mentioned we were in the top 6 for god knows how long then when we drop out of it we sell out ! But he came across well last night, no ripples in the road, and set it up nicely for today.

I think it’s more buttering up the fans ahead of some difficult unpopular decisions.
