Even with a pretty rotated squad I’d like to think we should still have enough to have a good chance of winning. Something like

Peretz
Jelert
Quarshie
Wood
Welington
Bragg
Charles
Fellows
Matsuki
Edozie
Stewart

With a few of the usual first teamers on the bench
:emoticon-0148-yes:
That’s an unusual formation …
But wingers are so 90s though so what the hell :emoticon-0178-rock:

I’d honestly like to see us give Oyekunle a start on Saturday. Keep it strong but incorporate him. New contract, will be hungry and I’d love to see him get a proper chance in a first team match at this level

I’d like to give our fullbacks a rest, also probably Jander Azaz fellows etc. problem is jelly and welly haven’t had much time so need a confident pairing at cb. THB and wood might have to play

Bit of mixed feelings heading into this. It would have been so, so good to go into tomorrows game with the chance of sneaking 2nd, as unlikely as that was. And if somehow Ipswich, Millwall and Boro do slip up tomorrow it will feel like a massive 'what if' moment. But that's highly unlikely to happen. What will happen is 2 of them will miss out on the final day and have to get themselves back up for the play offs. At least we can get that disappointment out of the way early and re-focus on what we have to do in the play offs now. No idea how the game will go tomorrow tbh, would really like a win to go into the play offs otherwise it's 4 without a win and doubts may start to creep in a little. Hopefully Preston are in full beach mode, getting the game wrapped up in the first half would be the ideal scenario.

Help!

Now my sick note from Matron has finally expired (only taken 6 years!) I can actually get to a match.

Last time in Preston was 2005/6 so forgotten:

Best place to park;

Away pub.

Any help please? PM unless you think it would be of value to other fans.

Disproportionally excited. Is Ted Bates still manager, btw?

I've not been before but seems to be loads of street parking not far from ground. I'm going to look for somewhere off Blackpool road back in direction of M6.

Are any of our squad in danger of getting enough yellows to rule them out of the play-offs? If so, they stay at home for this one.

Thanks Libby. Just remembered I used to use this website:

Good for all info. Love the fact that a West Brom fan gave Preston fans 10/10. I always reckon Albion fans ar as nice a bunch as you can meet, so that bodes well!

Just set mine for 5. If I can be past Brum by 8 I'll be happy.

**** of a journey for early KO tbf but at least should be home at a reasonable hour.

Lucky you; my coach leaves at 4, and the alarm is set at 3:30 <laugh>

**** going all that way on a coach.
Coach? You ****ing madman <yikes>

You're more than welcome to come with me mate? I'll probably still get there earlier than the coach despite leaving 90 minutes later.

It'll be an experience; it obviously has its pros and cons. Its definitely cheaper, but does take longer.

Though to be honest, I lead a very busy, chaotic life and its nice just to sit back and relax for a few hours.

I'm also easily stressed about these things (where to park etc) and just rather sit back knowing its all in hand.

Thanks for the offer though @Libby, but as its already paid for i dont want to lose my money

No worries mate, I'd be happy to not take any petrol money as I'm going anyway so you wouldn't lose out so much but obviously up to you.

Offer stands if you wake up at 3:30 and fancy another hour or two's kip. Just drop a PM on here.

As stated earlier, first game for quite a while. Good news for all. My wife of 50+ years is coming with me. In that time she’s been to maybe 25 matches and Saints won every one. I know how to treat a girl. Second date I took her to The Dell to see Saints v York in Div 2. 2-1, Bobby Stokes with both. Preston may be a step up! 3-1 Saints. No problem.
