An obsessive with a "grotesque" fixation on rooting through bins for used nappies has been jailed for doing the same thing again.

Abbie Taylor had been banned from going near bins but was seen by two different people climbing in and searching through their waste, Newcastle Crown Court heard.

Taylor, who identifies as a woman but previously committed offences under the name Martin Tarling and was being held on remand at a male prison, was given a suspended sentence in 2025 for targeting nurseries in South Tyneside.

The 47-year-old from South Shields, whose criminal record had 99 offences on it, admitted breaching a criminal behaviour order and was jailed for two and a half years.
A three-year order was made in 2023 prohibiting Taylor from attending any nurseries, removing items from bins or wearing incontinence aids over clothing in public, prosecutor Claire Anderson said.

Taylor was further jailed for two years, suspended for two years, in August 2025 for breaching that order by committing offences at several nurseries, including smearing faeces on children's bottles.

They need to bring back proper asylums.

Not sure I could agree with that, especially as Chartham was often referred as the place you would go in my neck of the woods, and ****ing awful place it was, often more considered as torture than care. I'm not convinced todays social care would make it any better, even if some probably deserve there, but just from a more rational point.

One flew over the cuckoos nest would seem sane compared to St Augustines...

Just makes me want to throw up, certainly one very disturbed individual. Thoughts of complete disbelief, can't say I've ever read anything like his case before, bet his medical records are an interesting read, if not, criminal record.

Two people have been stabbed in Golders Green in north London after a man with a knife was seen running down the high street, attempting to stab Jewish people in the area.

Shomrim, the Jewish community security organisation, said they responded immediately and detained a suspect.

They said police then arrived and Tasered a man who has been arrested.

The victims are being treated by Hatzola, whose ambulances were set on on fire across the road from today's incident last month.

just some typical islam barbarian **** really

Everyday occurrence it seems
I'm sure the wonderful Mr Khan will be along to Golders Green later to remind everyone how safe London is in yet another attack. It just got a menshy in Parliament, described as an increasing problem in North London.

Keir Starmer has called it deeply concerning.
