Yes! My physical ticket is an actual ticket and not a bit of A4 :)

You can stick ya ****ing Saints app up your arse :emoticon-0159-music
As we feared, the QR codes that were downloaded didn't work, good job we had made pre-emptive arrangements to get proper tickets and they did the trick, apart from the result it was a bloody good day out.

Just got back, treated little locum to his first kebab.

Great day out, saints fans were amazing, how did we sound on tv?

The whole team worked tirelessly and I can’t single anyone out for not performing well. We made one of the top teams in Europe huff and puff then bring out the big guns.

Deflection was just bad luck, their second was a wonder strike. No real cock ups.

I’m really impressed by how composed wood was and wellington was fantastic.

Never good to lose, but if you have to lose to a top club that’s how to do it.

Oh yeah the Manc fans were crap. I loved the way we kept singing after the final whistle when they were interviewing.

My other half said that it was “Typical Saints” to blow a lead.

It really wasn’t.

This Saints team are nothing like any Saints team I have known. We are a Championship side and they are soon to be Champions of England.

Toe to toe for 79 mins with one of Europe’s top teams, go ahead and they needed their top players to turn it around. If that lucky deflection doesn’t happen 3 mins after we take the lead, the second goal doesn’t either.

Having slept on it I'm still gutted <wah>

Though it looked rather ominous early on but we settled quite quickly and actually looked the better side in the middle part of the first half. Was Leo's goal flagged or disallowed by VAR? Phone flew out my pocket in the celebrations and smashed up which is annoying for a goal which didn't count.

Second half we just couldn't get out at all and it seemed only a matter of time before they scored. But the more chances they missed the more you felt it might be our day and around the 75th minute mark I said to the person next to me that now is the time to score and what a goal from Azaz. Was right behind it and fot 3 minutes it really felt our name might be on the cup.

Hard to take that after them missing so many chances it was a deflected one that got them level. The second was a brilliant strike though it has to be said.

Thought Wellington was outstanding given his lack of game time, looked absolutely ****ed quite early second half though. Bragg also didn't look out of place and Jander probably our best player. Wood deserves credit for his performance too as he was a source of worry pre kick off.

Thought atmosphere was okay, decent in patches but not brilliant imo.

Once again we have to celebrate a glorious defeat rather than any real success :(

Might be unpopular but after my third visit with Saints and my first sober I've decided Wembley is a pretty **** stadium if we're honest isn't it?

Terrible location, rake in lower tier far too shallow. ****e for atmosphere with noise not really travelling. If it didn't have the emotional pull and history then nobody would be arsed about it imo.

Did you ever go to the old Wembley? The new one is a huge improvement imo. Better than the one West Ham are leasing, which is the only real alternative. Was way up in the rafters this time, would certainly do that again.

In othe news, just watched Finn Azaz's goal again. A goal like that absolutely deserved to win the match :emoticon-0106-cryin

No doubt some morons will replace 'win the FA Cup' with '**** the FA Cup' like happened with Selles. While waiting for my train I could hear some fans singing a version of it but couldn't make out the words.

How any Saints fan can sing **** the FA Cup is beyond me. Daft ****s.

We certainly have some dickheads in our support recently. Saw some totally uncalled for squaring up to City fans after the game

I didn't mate, only time Saints played there in my lifetime was the year after I was born.

I'm sure the new one is better but it's not a great stadium at all imo and shouldn't be where it is.

Shouldn't be at Wembley? The ghosts of Bobby Moore and Bobby Stokes (not to mention Bob Stokoe) will haunt you forever for saying that

I mean location wise it's not a great place for a huge stadium.

You've hit on my earlier point though, without the history nobody would be that bothered about the place.

I agree the new one is a way better stadium however the atmosphere was a lot better in the old one imo. The roof was lower which tended to keep the sound in.

Problem is the best part for atmosphere is the back of the third tier and most of the people who want to stand and sing want to be in the bottom tier.

So, we have reached a turning point in the history of the world. Southampton TC have lost a game of football, which begs the question, who is doing the Ipswich thread?
