People talk about only staying up last year on goal difference as a reason to have low expectations for this season. We finished last season with 4 wins, 4 draws and 4 defeats from the last twelve games. This season in our last 12 with one of them still to play we've had 2 wins, 4 draws and 5 defeats so far. So our run-in has been worse than last year's even if we unexpectedly beat Norwich, and surely nobody is going to argue that last year's squad was stronger. And supposedly it was the run-in that got Selles sacked. I think this demonstrates that it was always bollocks to judge our chances this season based on our league position last season, and also that we've absolutely bottled the run-in this year.

Does Sergei deserve to be sacked?
He's made some poor decisions, BUT substitutions, set up, tactics, starting 11 will be a joint decision. As indicated earlier, his back room team, carry some of that, but some will tell you Holden is brilliant and the goalkeeping coach is excellent.

Does Sergei deserve to be sacked?
Don't think so i think he has done a decent job with what he come in to, i blame the players Lundstrum, Coyle, Ajay and injuries at times we could have done without them, we lost a great opportunity that should have been wrapped up already but i think Sergei should be given another go.

I know that there are A LOT of people on here who don't like or maybe don't understand xG but this recent run of form is a demonstration around how statistics work as a sample size gets bigger, we over performed our xG for a long time and it's now catching up to us and will prob end the season in a more reflective place compared to what our performances have driven.

Coyle was dire today I lost count of the number of times he failed to control the ball when he received the ball. And dont get me started about his crossing.
I only saw the second half but it wasn't just Coyle who couldn't put a cross in, and our corners were dire.

No but I think it's evens he will be.

He's not responded to the pressure of this downturn in form well.

Getting sent off.

Odd selection decisions. (eg never starting Joseph)

Strange substitutions. (eg removing attacking players like Millar and Gelhardt for plodders like Dowell and Koumas).

Desperate gambles (eg Matazo).

However, we have had some really costly injuries at key times and we have finished in the top 10 whilst under a transfer embargo.

Also, anyone see Pandur pull his arm away on the second goal. Looked like he completed misjudged it and probably could’ve saved it otherwise

I kept my promise. Since the team was doing well this season, I refrained from posting usual critical comments, especially about Acun, and I also avoided from game threads to keep the good-luck charm going.

We still have a chance, since Wrexham will face top5 teams, while we face a team ready to enter vacation mode. On the other hand, I also agree that we don’t have momentum to pull off a miracle in the playoffs, if we make it.

My only wish from now on: Acun, please don’t do something stupid like firing Sergej, as you did with Liam. And please have a sensible transfer window. As we have noticed, the less Turkish directors are involved in transfers, the better their teams seem to do like Sergej’s former club Kayserispor, or Samsunspor, who had a miracle season under a transfer ban.
I'm not sure how we buy many players to be honest .
The club is heavily in debt

I ****ing hate the overachieving talk. So small time it's embarrassing. Like you say Wrexham have some nobodies. Millwall have a team of nobodies and are going to finish top 3. Coventry's team on paper isn't even that crazy compared to the parachute sides. But we talk as if everyone but us has a star studded line up and we can't possibly compete.

We've got McBurnie, Gelhardt, Belloumi and Millar all been fit and starting for a while now. A brilliant front line, not sure we've had a better one at this level in the modern era. Do people honestly think our rivals have got better to pick from? Lundstram another previous promotion winner and PL performer on big money. At the back we've got Egan and Ajayi supposedly proven at this level as previous promotion winners, and then Hughes supposedly a £15m player. These aren't nobodies. And none of them are that old. Again, I wonder who do people who talk about us being limited think plays for our rivals?

Yup.

The last 6 weeks have been Like watching the Titanic slip away. In the event we do miss out again there will undoubtedly be the usual ****storm as supporters and the media alike try to fathom out why we allowed a side we’ve put to bed twice this season the chance to have a pop at the twin towers and The Big Turk could well be one of them.

UTFT.
