I noticed he didn't bother waiting to shake hands with anyone at the end of the game. Just went straight down the tunnel. So was clearly pissed off. I didn't know something had happened at half time, just thought he was pissed off with the whole performance and wanted to get back in the dressing room asap.
If he felt anything like I did then I don't blame him.

You mix play up not stick to the same old same.
Second half we moved the ball quicker and played less from the back and we dominated.
The difference between the two teams they wanted it more in the first half and our passing was very slack unfortunately it cost us.
We lost the second half 1 - 0. ;-)

If id had taken my lads last night it would have probably cost me around 150-200 quid for tickets, travel, food and drink etc. Id have boo'd too if id have had to sit through that

When you take it in isolation as a single game then yeah fair enough but bigger picture for me is they have more than enough credit in the bank for me to consider booing one horror show.

Looking at where we've came from through the playoffs after finishing 24 points behind the other 2 promoted teams we've leapfrogged them and will finish mid table. When you look at the last 2 years teams to be promoted they've all gone straight back down with barely a whimper. Southampton who were in our shoes last season ended on 12 points we are on 46. I think we should all surely be able to forgive one poor showing.

It is madness. Every time I see this passing it around at the back **** it makes me nervous. It puts so much pressure on ourselves, because all the passing has to be perfect or you end up gifting the ball to the opposition in a position where it is highly likely that they can score a goal. Forest manager has obviously taken note of this and punished us. Needs to stop.
Wolves will have also taken note

I know mate just hard to think as rational as that now 15 hours after a 0-5 defeat

I don’t mind it. Shows he cares. Not the first time it’s happened and it’s because he cares and doesn’t want fans to think he doesn’t.

He’s a superb player Nordi and he has big expectations. Regis has squashed it anyway, we move on.

I’ll take 11 Nordi arguing with fans and showing some hurt over 100 Gordon’s bleating for a move cos he’s outgrown a club scoring penalties.

100% I love Nordi and hope if was just his way of showing his fight.

Totally understand mate sport brings out loads of emotions. Joy anger and despair to name a few. The Port Vale game killed me for about a week as i had dared to dream and it felt at the time like a massive opportunity thrown away. Usually I tend to just laugh it off but other times it gets me. Where only human after all.

Yeah true mate, i dont take defeat well so sometimes im best to just be ignored on here for a few days after a game.

I think we played better when Talbis on the left and Traore on the right it gives us more balance and outlets.
Brobbey needs supply
Le Fe is wasted on the flanks as is Rigg.
Diarra is off it so Le Fe playing behind/off striker,or Rigg.
RLB please stop mucking around with back four and play players in there natural positions.
One last thing why oh why are we not having shots outside of the box instead of trying to walk it in.
Le Fee doesn’t get close enough to Brobbey for that partnership to work. That’s whyDiarra continues to play there because he’s far more mobile and can run beyond the front man. Le Fee is more suited to playing behind a fast striker like Isidor

Anything been said about Mukiele arguing with the fans at half time? Seemed like he just reacted to some of the booing at the whistle. Was poor from him to react in that manner considering the scoreline but it does always piss me off when fans boo at half time so kind of see his point.

I don't blame him for being pissed off. He would have already known they were having an off night. He (or any other player) didn't need knobs in the crowd pointing that out and booing the team.

I see it from both sides, as a paying fan id be frustrated. I wouldnt get angry with any of the lads because theyve been brilliant this season but some fans sacrifice alot financially and travel from the other side of the country so its well within their right to show abit of frustration being 0-4 down at half time. As a professional footballer its part and parcel of the job unfortunately.

Granit Xhaka shared his thoughts after Sunderland's implosion at the SoL.

TOUGH NIGHT

“Very tough. It’s difficult to find the right words now but the only thing I can say is to apologise to the fans. What you saw today is not the team you have seen all season. This is part of our journey, it’s part of the team where we can process it and improve ourselves individually and as a collective. Hopefully this will not happen again.”

LEARN FROM IT
“Thankfully we have time to recover and reflect and to see ourselves in the mirror, to analyse it and say it was not good enough. We must not forget where we’ve come from, I was saying before the game that the season is a marathon and not a sprint. Sometimes these things happen, it’s painful for sure but we need to recover now and come back stronger, to give the fans what we’ve given them all season and react.”

EASY GOALS
“We had a couple of games where we did not play well but we took some points. I think the goals we conceded were too easy and we didn’t do the basics right - if you don’t do the basics in this league, or anywhere in the football world, you get punished. We were punished so quick in the first half and after 4-0 you need a lot of luck and everything else to come back. At least we tried, but it was not good enough today.”

We've achieved what we aimed to.
1. Survival
2. Don't lose to the mags
3. If possible, beat the Mags

We've done that.

Let's not turn into them up the road, delusions of grandeur.

We've got players playing in the world cup and don't want to get injured, they've did their job, let them look forward to the summer for our entertainment.

Bad night @ the SOL, but if we are to throw in a crap performance, better to do it against a team in a Euro semi final than do it next weekend against a relegated team. Now that would be unexceptionable.

Sometimes these things just happen, especially when there's a new squad of players and disruption with injuries etc.

I've loved this season and won't let last night spoil it, as you say the highlights more than balance one defeat.

I'm looking forward to all our games and hope to see you for a pint before the Chelsea game <cheers>
