You missed out the highest average attendances for the league <whistle>

4th should be Man City, although it was div 2 when they went down. City's is weird because their average attendance went up when they got demoted.

Our 2 years in L1 had an average higher than the relegation season too.

If you're scoring goals and winning games fans will show up in any division.

Leicester is definitely a case of incompetence rather than bad luck.

They’d overspent and were living beyond their means, they were banking on making the champions league and didn’t have anything in place to protect themselves from failure to do that. It has come back to bite them on the arse, big time.
Had they built the second best rather than best training complex in the world they’d be mid-table Prem now

On the money Lib ... our season tickets sales actually went up overall after we got relegated from the Prem last ...

Not expecting that for next season, of course, but the fans will come back with success (and tangible desire) on the pitch ... same as it ever was...

Ours did too after relegation in 22/23.

Can see things getting worse for you before they get better mind.

Is what it is buddy - last time we went down we were in a much worse position, in every way ... as I keep saying, you have to take the rough with the smooth - but supporting my club is at least 'dramatic' - never a dull moment.

Being temporarily crap at any level is crap. I still think the most boring teams to follow home and away are the likes of Fulham just never going down and never getting into Europe though half the league getting into Europe nowadays lessens that. Awful KO times, VAR, crazy season ticket prices.

Closely followed by being 15th in the Championship for a decade and counting. Fewer silly KO times and no VAR at least for now.

Burnleh can’t have had much fun this season basically signing up for relegation before the season started. Most of one’s football life is pretty **** unless you happen to be born at the right time and die young.

Can't complain - during my lifetime:

3 League Cups
1 FA Cup
1 Premier League
Numerous Championship / Div 2 titles
Two Championship Play off wins
1 Div One title

Not many fans on here will have seen such things, some due to age - certainly not many (anyone) 'supporting' clubs outside the 'Big 6' ...

Much better than just participating, irrespective of relegations etc IMHO

;)

The biggest concern for Leicester is that they have already cashed in on future instalments from Premier League parachute payments and player sale instalments by selling those sums to MacQuarie bank. Borrowed a net £85m in the last two seasons, and wage bill of over £100m in the Championship last time they were there. At end of 2017/18 Leicester had accumulated profits of £25 million, by end of 2024/25 that had turned into an accumulated loss of £375 million.

I'll be chatting to

and wee Ally McCoist at 6:30 tomorrow morning about the financial impact of relegation to League One.

Oooer ... but just to provide some perspective - Man Unted's gross debt is currently £1.2 billion (yep that's billion)... and they have current accumulated losses of close to £4million ... but I guarantee they'll be just fine ... provided the lenders don't call in the debt!
