Was talking on way home last night, and said that would be rather drop the points last night than win all games left only for Millwall or Ipswich to win out and we miss out on Auto’s anyway.
We can have a reel go on Saturday now with best team available, then I would rest some of the players over the last 2 league games and get freshness back for the play offs.
Bree, Manning and probably THB could do with a rest, and Azaz doesn’t look fit with heavy strapping on his leg. Would also give Scienza and Downes a week off.
True, but we need to get 4th!

No doubt the Gallagher brothers will be at Wembley expectant of a win.

To be fair, they had some great songs, Stop crying your heart out, She's Electric, Some Might Say, Wonderwall, Don't look back in anger.

I have re titled these for the semis

Stop crying Eckert out
Bree's Electric
Some might Shea
Tondawall
Don't look back in Jander

Will we win? Definitely, maybe.

We should adopt Tondawall for the game <cheers>

Used to be a pub there way back in the day, that played Reggae to a mixed black and white crowd. DJ was an old white bloke with a pronounced Bristol accent, think they made a documentary about him?

Had a cracking night in there about 40 years ago. Mate of mine lived nearby in St Werburgh’s

The pub could be one of many tbh, that description describes about 10 places that immediately spring to mind

The dj sounds like DJ Derek, bit of a legend round here

I can confirm I am a posh scum and look down my nose at dumps like Lincoln from my vastly more expensive house in Bristol

Well we were due an off day. We had an off day and still didn’t lose. It was also a good time to have an off day, rather than Saturday.

They looked knackered and were all over the place. At one time I said to my mate that the positions were a bit of a free for all. It was almost as if Tonda said here’s the team off you go sort the game out yourselves. That said, I really think we were affected by the late withdrawal of Jack. The solid defence just didn’t look solid anymore.

Larin is a beast by the way. He can hold the ball, run with it and score with it. Not what I excepted from a January striker after a summer striker of Downs.

2nd still on IMO as much as it was before as a Millwall loss and an Ipswich loss (other than to us) is still needed. We will go into the Ipswich game on the crest of a wave after reaching our first Wembley cup final for 50 years.

Yellows, yellows, yellows.

Yep - Milwall's easy run was ultimately likely to scupper us, no matter what we did. The silver lining is that we aren't deflated right on the last day, and I additionally think that a few draws might be good for us, to reset the run going into the playoffs. A loss might be too much, but these epic runs as they go on can become an albatross. It encourages high standards but also invites pressure and puts a target on us as favourites. A measure of pre-playoff disappointment tempered with our ongoing confidence can serve us well, and remind the players how fragile these moments can be, and what happens when you reduce the level by even a touch. If we can get through the City game relatively unscathed, I'd be tempted to want Tonda to start resting key players and protecting from injury.

Had some good nights out there, maybe at that pub, don’t remember?

One I remember was at the nearby pub, The Farm

Had some Shrooms and found some face paints. Ended up painting loads of peeps faces; brave strangers as well as friends

All looked good too

As long as we get 4th!

Lincoln is quite posh, by northern standards.

My mate who worked up there for a few years said people there have a very “Masters and Servants” mentality.

The pub might be the Star & Garter? Or if going back even further would be the Bamboo Club? Both are hugely important for the music of the city. The DJ you’ll be talking about is DJ Derek, absolute titan of a selector!! He sadly went missing a few years back, sorely missed by the city.

Funnily enough I’m actually a DJ myself & Reggae is also my weapon of choice, with the Star & Garter being the first venue I ever played in.. top top pub! It nearly went under when the owner “Dutty Ken” passed many moons ago, but one of the rare success stories of when gentrification stepped in and saved it. They have a jukebox now with loads of old mixtapes from DJ Derek, Wild Bunch (original soundsystem of Massive Attach) & Roni Size & co. Well worth a visit to anyone who’s never been before! They also have a crazy rare photo of Queen Elizabeth on one knee to Haile Selassie of Ethiopia which is a photo of a genuine occurrence that happened haha crazy to see the Queen of the UK on one knee herself!

(Bit of a side step from the footy - sorry guys haha!)

Anyway… back where we were. Let’s do these northern monkeys Saturday!! Come on saints !!!

Remember when an Ofsted inspector called the IOW an educational ghetto a few years ago. I just thought but we do have some lovely weather to be thick in.

Grew up in Ventnor(the English riviera!) and agree it's quite a place in the summer, still have family over there and easy to visit from Fareham, not withstanding rip-off ferry prices

Reference the game, was present in the Itchen North and thought there were too many players slightly off it for whatever reason but could have snatched an undeserved win in the end. Thought Azaz was very poor on the night and Jander should have been on earlier, other subs worked well though. Agree lino had an absolute shocker; as he walked off the pitch, he appeared to pick up a white cane and a guide dog lead

Considering City had nothing to play for, thought they put in a shift and looked dangerous until we equalised again and they settled for the draw, definitely a bogy side for us, need to fix that in the future. Thought the crowd was OK, tried to get the players going, they seemed to respond well at the end

Anyway, onwards and upwards, COYS !
