It only takes one person on Facebook to start a rumour and there'll be 100 more confirming it as fact within the hour...

There were bits 'n' bob's doing the rounds that he was out on Saturday night in Hull, not for me given our performance (and the result)but Footballers do go out on a Saturday night after matches,it's not forbidden, just hard to take for fans if the team have underperformed during the day.

I very much doubt he's been out on Monday night,no proof of that but neither have the gossips on Social Media accusing him.
I’ve heard Coyle is in the Epstein files!!

First words of my post were ‘I think’ not ‘I know for certain’. I can understand your confusion though as you struggle with both thinking and knowing.

You started by saying "I think at the start he created an ‘us vs them’ mentality which worked." Note the full stop, then you went on to state some facts followed by a whole load of guesswork and speculation.

There's a difference between a sheff utd playing a full strength side with nothing to play for and a Coventry rotating to let players celebrate and a boro rotating to rest for play offs.
i know, you think Coventry will roll over in front of a full house? , plus they have a strong squad they can make a few changes and still be decent
pressure is on Wrexham now, its easier to chase then be chased.
Wrexham might win, but absolutely by no means a certainity, smart money be on a draw in that one for me, Cov might not be at full tilt, but wont want to lose

I don’t think Coventry will roll over on Saturday. There will be a great atmosphere and they won’t want to lift the trophy after a defeat. Much more likely to be beaten on the final day.

I remember our play off campaign under Bruce. We came alive in the last game of the regular season after a slump as players tried to force their way into the play off team. Just hope Boro do that against Wrexham.

Wrexham aren’t a great side. If either Boro or Cov turn up they won’t win both.

Regardless we’ve got to actually win a game, which on recent form doesn’t look likely. I hope for a Charlton point tonight.

Just to inject a little positivity, assuming Belloumi is out, then Geldhardt is back to being in his best position on the right.

Assuming Slater's considered fit to start, then Crooks is back to his best position behind McBurnie.

We're more than capable of beating Charlton and I think we will. In fact, if Koumas and Dowell get injured in training, I'm sure we will...

We'll lose against Norwich anyway, but at least it will got to the last game. <ok>

It’s a supporters’ prerogative to believe we’re going to succeed/win pretty much every game – to be honest I wish I had it (I used to years ago).

Some are understandably ****ed off by the negativity on here. Again, it’s a supporters’ prerogative. Providing you’re not booing your own players at the ground, brainlessly slagging the team or being a **** in some other way.

So, with the task in hand -

If we won both games 2-0 and Wrexham drew one and we made the play-offs, the football world would hardly be surprised at all. It is incredibly doable.

But, psych wise, sadly, I don’t think we have a win left in us.

Maybe we’ll get a gift – a mad referee, or some other bolt from the blue, and that might reignite us.

But, bar that, going on the last few months, and general football patterns: probably a draw and a defeat looms.

I’d love it if we were charlton
Bobby would be ideal
Tho we could do with Jack as well to knock a few heads together

I like the idea of the Mad referee..

Well that contradicts what I said earlier about Lampard not letting standards drop , ha …. Disappointing to be fair, not just saying this because it’s us but I do think sporting integrity comes into play in these situations , only a week left could just let them go mad then . Always preferred Gerrard anyway <laugh>
Hopefully the fact they don't play until Sunday helps.
A couple of days off celebrating (today and tomorrow). Likely the drinking & partying was mostly last night into this morning. So, hopefully tomorrow is more like a 'rest day' day off,, then hopefully back at it in training Friday and Saturday, ready for Sunday.
Like others are saying, I don't think they'll want to lose at home this Sunday. Draw maybe.

If you were a neutral which team would you back? Us or Wrexham?

Subconciously they wont be at the same levels though
Just human nature
