True but Koumas comes from a Premier League academy and can’t dribble properly or control a ball and doesn’t look up. He dribbles whilst looking at the ball instead of what’s around him and still manages to get it caught in his feet.

It’s honestly like when Usain Bolt tried being a footballer and looked exactly how you’d imagine a sprinter playing football.
I’ve said it 1000 times but Koumas can run fast and is decent attacking a cross. He either needs to play upfront against a high line for throughballs or just dont play him. He’s pointless anywhere else.

I think there's a large helping of recency bias at play there. Nobody was praising Joseph's quality when he was starting.
I don’t think natural talent is Joseph’s strong point, but hes physical, doesn’t stop and actually gets involved in some positive forward moves for us. Minus a couple of goals from koumas early on he’s been about as useful as Dowell.

Can’t see any way you can justify Koumas coming on for Belloumi over Joseph

With very similar squads?

Yeah I’d say so.

Delap and Philogene weren’t known quantities when they arrived.

This squad has far more Championship experience than Rosenior had - Hughes and Greaves similar ability wise. Coyle and Slater still here. McBurnie and Gelhardt at least as good as any of Rosenior’s options up front. Everyone seemed happy to swap Jones and Macca for Ajayi and Egan, as well as Pandur and Allsopp.

Only area we are maybe weaker this season is midfield.

Also, Joseph knows how to press really well. Pressing isn’t just running at the opposition like a headless chicken. It’s an underrated skill. Koumas giving away that penalty is a perfect example of what it looks like when you don’t know how to press. He just ran at their player with zero thought in his head because he’s thick and the Leicester player played him like a fiddle. He runs around to make it seem like he’s working hard.

Compare that to Joseph’s pressing and it’s night and day. He times and angles his pressing runs.

Literally our best player last season in both goals and assists. We could have recalled him and not got Koumas. Or recalled Omur and not signed Dowell.

We already had players better than them that had already played for us.
Don’t start with Omur again, he’s ****!

I was talking about Koumas. I would have any winger in over him, including Akintola.
I don’t think Koumas is a winger, neither is Yu, I’d have Akintola over all these players mentioned!
Another **** January window!

Hirakawa has done a good job for us to be fair. If/when we're still in this league next season I'd honestly hope we bring him in providing there's no ongoing injury issue at play.

Our midfield was insane under Rosenior.

He started off well, ran around a lot after, got injured, come back & done as much as Koumas when he plays on the wing.
I’d like to think there’s better options out there.

Lampard just been on Talksport saying the lads have gone out to celebrate and he's told them to have a couple of days off .
Job done I can see Wrexham winning at weekend
Yeah suspected as much. Boro will be safely in the play offs too so can easily see two Wrexham wins, no idea why anyone thinks it's a tough two games.

**** off all the loan players back except Gelhardt, terminate the remainder of Dowell’s contract and pay him off and strip Coyle of the captaincy for next season. Nobody will buy him after the club gave him that new contract so give him a toilet brush and tell him his only job is to scrub the skid marks off the training ground bogs. Sack Jakirović’s fitness coach, ban alcohol and buy some durable, athletic players and go again.

Hull City assistant head coach Dean Holden speaking in the post-match press conference:

"Disappointing thing for us is that we got ourselves into a leading position again. Four games out of five since the break and we've not been able to see it through.

"The message at half-time was to try and get on the front foot. We knew they were going to come at us and take even more risks.

"We concede the penalty, I've genuinely not seen it back so I can't really comment, but I believe it's a disappointing one.

"We were giving everything as were they. I'm sure it was an entertaining game because it was end-to-end, it was like a game of basketball at times, but that became dangerous for us because they've got such good players in those one-on-one duels.

"Ultimately we've got to take the point, as disappointing as it is, and move forwards as quick as we can."

"Ron - my optimism has been deflated.."

Would have enjoyed that a lot more if not for the Wrexham result, felt like a loss in the end. The meltdown on bbc Leicester on the way home definitely cheered me up though.

2-2 felt like a fair result on balance but we should have been out of sight by the time they got the penalty. Really expected us to get turned over tonight so a point isn’t the worst for us. We have 2 much more winnable games against teams that aren’t playing absolutely **** in an absolute rut. We always play better against better teams, doesn’t matter who’s in the squad nor the manager, it’s just one of those things.
