I guess Ed Still will be sacked .

Not seen such a clamour for someone to be given a P45 from fans since .. well PP actually.

Maybe would have just been better and cheaper to stick with Cleverley but guess that is easy to say in hindsight but then even he was being criticised is some quarters by the end .

No point in sacking him with 2 games to go and nothing to play for.
I imagine that there is a break clause in his contract at the end of the season so no cost there whilst if he's sacked now there will be a cost.

Yes sorry obviously at the end of the season.

Like with Cleverley the club will say we need someone with more experience and knowledge of promotion and the Championship.

Before appointing someone from overseas - and there have been some good managers from abroad but with us they'll probably last till October.

Solid move by the club to lock down Mamma’s future. There’s been some chatter about it today, and it looks like Watford are finally making sure our young talents don’t just slip away for pennies:1980_boogie_down::1980_boogie_down::1980_boogie_down:

We’ve seen too many promising players get lost in the shuffle lately, so seeing the board actually 'bolting the door' on Mamma is encouraging. He’s got that raw pace and flair we’ve been lacking in transition.

Have I missed some sort of announcement?

Must be on a long term contract and tbf we have good fees for our more talented players but sadly don't seem to reinvest it well.

Unfortunately we seem to here this a lot and over a number of years from many players so seems to be a regular issue.

Ed Still obvious not been able to change it and some say he is an ally of Bayat.

What has happened to Behrami?

Reports are now emerging that Ed Still will be leaving at the end of the season. Talksport journalist Alex Crook has revealed that a decision has been made by the owner and that Still is expected to leave Vicarage Road after Watford's final game at home to champions Coventry City next weekend. Also confirmed by Anthony Joseph (Sky Sports News) this morning. Hardly surprising news, but who will replace Ed Still as head coach is not known.

Absolute shambles.

Someone on another forum wrote several days ago that Ed Still would leave after the final game of the season and that a new head coach will be announced on Bank Holiday Monday. The person believes that a contract has already been agreed with Still's replacement. I have no idea whether this claim is true.

Sky Sports News also mentioned today that - in the summer - Watford intend to sign some British players with Championship experience to support the talented youngsters. Why was that not done this season?

They say one thing then do something else .

Wasn’t Cleverley meant to be replaced by an experienced proven promotion winning coach ?

Obviously been celebrating too hard.

So no doubt we will the subject of more mocking and memes this week then.

I guess Still had to go as the record has been very poor but it's the same old cycle again and can you see it changing?

No manager is going to be totally the right man from minute one and keep doing well without a fit hungry talented squad who perform regularly - not just when they feel like it.
