Enough with the negativity.

Yes we’re all feeling the pain of yesterday. But we are still in with a great chance of winning a trophy this season.

For me, supporting my team is about supporting them through thick and thin. Showing them the same level of support when things are t going well

For players and manager. That’s when they need us the most !

Calling all Gooners - come on let’s get behind the team for the rest of this season. We still have a chance to do something great.

Give over.
It's not just yesterday.
It's years of bottling it when it matters.
Right now we're collapsing and bottling it to the greatest extent ever seen in PL football history.
To me, being a fan means supporting the club. Players and managers come and go.
The team , in actual fact, have had superb support over the last few years, despite the constant let downs. I have spent the last 4 yrs being super positive about the direction of the club.
There comes a time where the fans, rightly, are going to demand some changes.
I watched yesterday knowing we'd lose with 100% certainty - that is where we are now.
I watched as players like Odegaard and Zubimendi were trusted again - with the same outcome.

There is only one way to stop the coming disaster - and make no mistake, bottling it again will be a monumental hit to the club - and that is changing the way we play and changing the starting line up.
The only route forward is to go for it now. We need to be scoring goals , and a lot of them.
No more sideways and backwards passing, no more wasting time pointlessly dicking around with the ball in defence.
Press high, win the ball, get it forward fast and go all out - and execute when it matters.
That is not something the fans can do, only the manager and the players - and whether the noise is positive or negative, it makes not one jot of difference to the task at hand.

We've played absolutely ****e football all year and the only way that will be acceptable is if we win the league.

If the manager is nervous amd negative now because we haven't won anything imagine how much more negative and defensive he will be next season if we don't win this season.

No thanks, get rid of this pubber right away.

I don't think the manager is nervous, but the players were ****ting bricks from mid season. That has to have something to do with the manager, I guess, but I don't think its nerves on his part. I think it's how we play - every single game is on edge because we're not putting games to bed.
Cant remember the last time we had a comfortable game.

I look at the execution from the players when it really matters - whether it's a finish, a pass, retaining the ball under pressure or simply controlling a ball first time. It's simply not good enough and looks like it is purely fear.

Never happening

Probably getting a contract extension tbh

Jay, what yesterday should've proved to you is that the players go out and execute the manager's instructions. If the instructions are to not kick it long and to pass your way put of trouble thats exactly what they will do, nobody is going to take stupid chances like that unless they have been instructed to do so.

What we saw yesterday was a team keen to move the ball forward quickly, thats not the players suddenly remembering they can pass forwards, its the manager giving them the remit to play that way - so they did.

I said it all along, how we play is dictated by the manager's tactics and nothing else, these are not **** players, if you let players express themselves they will, if you ask them to play within themselves then they will. Arteta absolutely told the players to attack when they have the opportunity and that's exactly what we saw.

I agree that how we play tactically is down to the manager.
That is not the issue.
The issue is execution.
It's not tactics to miss good chances
It's not tactics to overhit/underhit easy passes
It's not tactics to miscontrol the ball and give it away.

Don't confuse tactics with execution.

Horror scenario if it happens, the Emirates will become toxic real fast, nobody wants us to return to the bad days during the end of Wenger's tenure but fans are rightfully pissed off right now, tempers are flaring

I think we were unlucky yesterday, we could just as easily have walked away with a draw.

Im talking about the 2-3 months leading up to yesterday's game, the **** performances were down to Arteta's negative pussyhole tactics, I refuse to criticise the players during that period when they were setup to fail by a cowardly manager

We've been lacking execution and finishing all season.
Yes the football has been safe, but the execution has been crap all year and the silly mistakes and panic has hit us since before Christmas.
It's 100% not down to tactics alone - in fact, we'd already be champions if we had not made the stupid mistakes we have and had played with confidence and no fear.

Yeah but you cant play with confidence and without fear if your manager sets you up to defend and not attack. He was been a coward for most of the season, we all saw it started with the starting lineups vs City and Liverpool that had no recognised attacking midfielder! Turns out that was just the tip of the iceberg.

I believe the manager prioritised no risk taking and that literally neutered any attacking intent of the team. I didn't call it out because I imagined it - we don't switch play and we rarely if ever play balls forward through the lines, everything is "line of sight" passing. Its safe and its pathetic.

have to say we couldn't believe our luck when we came to the Emirates with a weakened team including no recognised striker and you played such cautious football we had a really comfortable 90 mins.

I get that - I agree we've been set up to defend, but it's not the sole reason here, or even the main reason we've dropped stupid points.
When we've had chances either to put it into the back of the net of make more of a situation, we've ****ed it up too many times. Not from refusing to take opportunities, but by really poor passing , really poor decision making or really poor finishing. No system can overcome a lack of execution.
The only place we have been executing well is on set pieces and that has dried up - predictably.

Ok point taken, there have been numerous occasions where we failed to take a shot or failed to pass it to an open player, simple passes that we should be making.

Another thing to point out… our ability to win the second ball is not only ****ing pathetic, it’s infuriating.
Whether it’s Bournemouth or City, every sodding break of the ball were second to it.
It’s most prevalent in midfield and it needs to change next year.

Our midfield has been the single biggest issue, a chronic lack of creativity and as you say, getting overpowered and overrun far too easily.

Its galling to see teams pass through us so easily and for us to get through a team's midfield we have to fight tooth and nail to make progress.
