Well if we can’t beat these….
Or even if we do does it prove we’re back on track?
We’re a mess arent we
And if these players think they’ll just be able to up their game in the play offs they’re deluded.
And if Jak doesn’t do something will he be gone soon? Acun doesn’t mess about as we know.
City 2-1

Now on to Leicester.

“If you’re off to League 1 bang a drum”

“We are going up, you are going down”

City 3-0 The League 1 Definites

Jak, you've got one job between now and Tuesday night, that's right just one. Sort out a half-decent midfield, do that and the rest'll drop into place, honest.

City 2-0

Agree. Look how much better we were against Coventry with the addition of one quality deeper midfielder. (Who's no longer an option, alas).

Also, there's no room in a starting eleven for all of McBurnie, Gelhardt, Crooks, Millar and Belloumi. Only 3 of them should start.

I think that 2nd sentence nails it.
We possibly could play those 5 together if we had more quality, mobility, energy, pace in the 5 behind them .... but currently we don't.

Thought Mcburnie had his worst game this season and Crooks wasnt much better, looked totally off it, and the serious lack of pace is killing us, as is the lack of giles. Our wingers get doubled up on making it difficult for them to create and unless our full back s support them and overlap etc they will struggle.
Think Joseph needs more minutes as well, 8 goals 4 assists and now he gets a few mins at the end, Gelhardt does nothing in the '10' role.
Think we all agree it has been an amazing season to be where we are BUT it would be a massive cock up if we do miss out on the play offs now.

A win would be fantastic
Gives us momentum and belief
Huge part to assuring playoff spot

AND relegate lester and see how toxic they get

But im also scared we play like **** again
If we play like **** then I probably accept we won't get play offs much less promoted and it's probably a weight off and I just enjoy the last two games and see what happens.

It’s a hard team to pick.

Pandur
Coyle Ajayi McNair Giles
Lunny Amir
Belloumi Gelhardt Joseph
McBurnie

If it was any other game I probably wouldn’t risk Giles. I don’t think Crooks works with Amir at the base of midfield, although Lunny isn’t really better. I think we need the energy of Gelhardt and Joseph to counter and press a side who need to win.

Hopefully we win, but I just think this has a loss written all over it, maybe a draw.
I’d be more happier playing against the top teams, but having said that, they need to win to stay up, so it might work to our advantage playing a bottom team for once.

Nervy start from both teams, City Score and Leicester will give up , and we will finally kill a team off . 0-2 , got to believe .

Our currnet plan for winning seems to be 'get a goal' then just hope the other team misses until the final whistle.

Hope you are right and a second goal would be the great leap forward - it's mao or never.

Alongside Boro we're on the slide - Wrexham not much better. If we did manage to stay in the play-off places the chances of a win against Ipswich, Millwall or Southampton are slim and even if we did somehow get to the final I can't see us winning against whoever is left. Personally I'd like another Wembley trip even if we do lose just as a nice day out at the end of the season.

Also, I'm one of those who aren't really fussed about going up. The Premier league to me is a cess-pit and we can do without the prospect of spending the next season getting, largely, battered or clinging on for dear life. Better to clear the decks, rebuild after a couple of sensible windows then see what happens over the next couple of seasons. If we're good enough to go up after that fair enough but if so we might have a more solid base from which to progress.
