We'd have beat these last time round if it wasnt for Reinildos moment of madness getting sent off for lashing out at Matty Cash. We were battering them till that point. Im predicting them being in europe tonight to be the straw that breaks the camels back and we'll win fairly comfortably 0-2

They were terrible that day until the sending off, they were fortunate to even get a point with 10 men iirc? They were going through a really bad run of form at the start of the season, they were so bad that day I thought they were going to do what Spurs have done!

They are a bit of a different prospect now but hopefully we do them!

Brilliant MDT as always @RTB. Thank you.
Started the week thinking that we could get a draw here. That in itself would be a very good result as Villa are an excellent side.

However, as the week has progressed and culminating in the Xhaka/Mukiele interview I’m going all in on the lads to win it.
1-2 after us being behind.
Brobbey and ELF.

...The 24-year-old’s strength and aggression make him ideally suited to the rough-and-tumble of the Premier League, but if there is one area where his game can still be significantly improved, it is his goals tally.

For all that Brobbey has impressed this term, he has scored just six goals in 25 Premier League appearances, a success rate Le Bris will be looking to increase as he continues to work with the striker.

“I hope there’s still more to come because he’s young,” said the Sunderland boss. “The final third is now the main target. The build-up, the way he can keep the ball under pressure is brilliant. So now, the last bit is to make him more clinical, score more goals, but the platform is really good.”

“Brian is becoming consistent now,” said Le Bris. “It’s a good sign because you can be strong once, but when you start to repeat performances like that, it’s a good sign. Probably, the connection with his team-mates is getting better progressively as well because you feel that even with a blind pass, you can play [into his] zone and he will take care of the ball. Then you can support, which is really positive to break a press.”

Pretty relaxed going into this one. 3 wins from 4 has arrested our mini-slump, away form is good and we've turned around the home form. Ballard and Angulo should be back, so squad looks pretty strong. Not quite a free-hit as we should still be looking to finish as high up the table as we can, but with 9 points from the last 12 anything we get from Sunday is a bonus.

.I'm going 1-1 - Brobbey for us, late Morgan goal for them.

Thanks again RTB for a brill MDT. format <applause> it is really a pleasure to read through all the comments and contributions
Watching Villa last night has not exactly filled me with confidence, but we are a much better orchestrated team than the one they faced last night,.
I would however settle for a point right now, still hoping for a win of course, which is not beyond us given a fair wind, and I agree that we could and should have won at home early doors without the stupid antics of Reinaldo that has been mentioned earlier.
I hope he has learned from it but doubts persist and he will be tested in this one for sure. OaU

unlike most weeks, going into this rather chilled and relaxed,

a game if we lose, its not the end of the world, it will be against a cracking side celebrating getting into a semi final in Europe for the first time in 30 years,

could it be the best time to play them because of that? will they be focused enough?

Hopefully there are a few tired legs on Sunday, albeit last night was a walk in the park for them and they subbed off most of their key players in the 2nd half.

We're a good side, we'll give them a game.

it will be a close game, one goal in it.

They might be over tired, a slow sluggish start for them would be ideal,

And with the Brobbey the Battering ram up front, he will cause them hell,

Would start Talbi and Le Fee on the wings,

Hopefully ballard is fit, but will come off the bench,

Possibly the most relaxed I have felt going into a game all season

Another Belter RTB
Really good team Villa with a great manager one of the few teams I enjoy watching this season with some good players.
So because we also have a really good team and an even better manager I fancy 1-1
Think Villa playing last night will be tough on the legs, looking forward to it
