You're not wrong but McBurnie clearly wants to play for them and he's phoned Clarke so it's a loss for him too.He's clearly frustrated as he thinks he should be selected on current form,he's not wrong and he's put it out there.It could well be their loss, as he knows where the net is and the other pair don't fit that bill,but I don't personally see much gain for us,we've got a player who feels shunned,he's desperate to pull a Scotland top on,he has my sympathy for not being selected and under any other Scotland coach he'd be the go to striker.
Clarke has clearly got issues with him and he's hit a brick wall,it would've been nice to see our striker lining up against Brazil.Scotland have got some decent midfielders who play at the top level and McBurnie is the type of player to thrive on that.
I feel for him,he's been shunned by a stubborn Coach,it's sh!t for him on a personal level.
