Well there are transfer penalties. Points deductions directly reduces competition. Sheffield Wednesday might not even reach zero points.

If the EFL want to relegate do so well before a season starts and send another team up in their place. Then you can have full competition rather than having a sitting duck team.
Why should another team be given promotion? Plus a club is well capable of surviving even with say a 10 or 15 point deduction.

Not financially, clubs receive 12k-15k$ per day for players at the World Cup Finals, starting from a couple of days before the tournament actually starts. :emoticon-0138-think

Tbh given Scotlands track record it won't be a huge financial windfall, I'd rather have a fit and fresh Ollie for next season ta

Their loss our gain
You're not wrong but McBurnie clearly wants to play for them and he's phoned Clarke so it's a loss for him too. He's clearly frustrated as he thinks he should be selected on current form,he's not wrong and he's put it out there. It could well be their loss, as he knows where the net is and the other pair don't fit that bill, but I don't personally see much gain for us,we've got a player who feels shunned,he's desperate to pull a Scotland top on,he has my sympathy for not being selected and under any other Scotland coach he'd be the go to striker.

Clarke has clearly got issues with him and he's hit a brick wall,it would've been nice to see our striker lining up against Brazil.Scotland have got some decent midfielders who play at the top level and McBurnie is the type of player to thrive on that.

I feel for him,he's been shunned by a stubborn Coach,it's sh!t for him on a personal level.

Oh I totally agree that he is a better option then they have and tbh I'd feel shyte about it, but given the way injuries seem to hound us round every corner I'd much rather have an Ollie eager to prove the coach wrong and ram it down his neck, after a rest period during the close season, to recharge his batteries and be ready raring to go for the new season.
