The so called bedwetters were simply making the correct observations... It is clear now.
at least when it all burns down in flames in Sept/Oct if Howe stays I'll be safe as fire wont catch hold of piss drenched sheeting

You do realise that the only teams below us are in a relegation scrap. We are basically just better than utter ****e, we are really ****e. Watch Howe post match press conferences late last season compared to now. The guy is exhausted, he knows he is in real trouble and I really feel for him as he knows he cant solve this.

What I feel sorry more for, is the next manager/coach. The next guy needs to rebuild a team that has:

No Goalkeepers
A back line that are mostly out of contract, have 1 year left or are wanting away.
A midfield that my gran could walk through and oh by the way, our captain only has 2 years left and so may need to be sold. Another midfielder wanting out
Wingers that run but other than that arent up to much plus one looks like wanting out.
Strikers - oh just ****ing hell

Youth - never tried, dont know.

So you think Eddie has been hard done by? I think he won us the cup but when he goes, he's going at the right time as he knows there is a right mess to clear up.
Can you, just for a change, try to stick with facts. This is just another half true diatribe.

1. The goalkeeper position we attempted to address last summer but we're usurped at the last minute. It's a known issue which we are attempting to sort out.
2.Botman, Thiaw and Hall = no issues. Three of our first choice back four.
3.Bruno, Tonali and Big Joe were being hailed as amongst the best last season and now we have Granny waltzing through.
4. Bayern Munich are said to be interested in England international Gordon along with Liverpool and Arsenal. Barnes breaking into the England squad and has scored a reasonable number this season but 'aren't up to much".
5. For the system we play I'll concede on our strikers.
6. You've obviously not heard of Miley.

It's been a poor season but
a) try to not sensationalise things as you then defeat your own argument and
b) try and remember to touch upon some facts, it helps for a balanced look.

Challenge accepted.

1) Pope, 33 years old and is now ****e. Ramsdale loan and is **** and a Greek guy that Howe played once and never again so I would say at this point in time we have no goalkeepers.
2) You have named 3 players. If we play a back 4 then we will need 8 players, 4 playing and 4 subs/rotation. Tripps, Lascelles, Kraft, Targett, Schar all out of contract. Burn has 1 year left and Tino is likely away. So basically 5 defenders to find, so mostly out of contract is correct.
3) They were being hailed for attacking and harrying intent. However for the past year, we have most teams playing through us with simple balls and our recovery pace is so slow. Whilst my gran isnt fast I think you can see I was making a point. Tonali is meant to be leaving. Bruno has 2 years left and so if doesnt sign a new contract, we will have to sell so my points still stand.
4). Our wingers are terrible, Gordon apart from pens in PL has very few assists. Elanga has 1 goal and 1 assist. Murphy is past it and getting worse as time goes by. Barnes, okay, scores some goals but most of the time is anonymous when he starts
5) The system we play - what is that for this year as I dont see a system? When he bought big Nick he should have adjusted his style of play but he just continued with pass to wingers and break fast.
6) Miley - oh yeah, great prospect hardly ever played in midfield and so only got a chance at RB when Howe had no other choice. Apart from Miley, who else?

So after all that, what did I say that wasn't facts and a balanced look?

It's a summer of significant change whether Howe is the man remains to be seen but without European football we aren't going to attract a top class manager

@Magnet , are you going to come back or issue an apology <cheers>

Which actually means we're in the chase for Europe - had we won the last 2 games, as we'd expect to have won both at HT, we'd be in 7th place.

It's a **** position, but it's also safe, and 6th to 14th in the league all means chasing Europe....the last 2 games have damaged that, but right now we're trying to chase Europe, not stay up.

What I was highlighting is that NUFC league position at the moment is just above the teams fighting relegation. You want to look at us fighting for European spot and Im looking at it with the view of how **** we really are. We have lost 25 points from winning positions, if any supporters still think we wont **** the bed and capitulate in the 2nd half, then they are a lost cause.

Each month Im told by those on here, Howe will put a run together and they were right. The run he has put together is relegation form. Europe might still be possible but Ive no confidence in Howe, he looks a beaten man and the worst thing is, he knows it.

That's a funny one:

Gordon - 17 goals 4 assists
Barnes - 14 goals 3 assists
Murphy - 4 goals 4 assists
Elanga - 3 goals 1 assist

So a total of 38 goals and 12 assists from the terrible wingers.

Not told - just people are hoping for it to happen, and not giving up hope. No one knows what will happen.

Things were looking good after the Man U and Chelsea games, and we'd have been in 7th it we won the last 2 (like we should have done), the Barca second half clearly has messed us up. All about how (and if) we can turn things around.

Cough, PL not when they fill their boots against carrier bag. That is why we are so low. 4 truly magical assists all season.
