And listening to him, the bloke seems to think this failure has been somehow visited on him, rather than him being it's architect.

Sounds like its the same thing over again, my mag mate is now saying enough is enough and hes usually behind Howe. Said he doesn't seem to know how to react when opposition teams change tactics, sticks with the same setup no matter what.

Always the same “ like for like” subs , no matter how the game is going or how they’re performing as a team or individually

I was on the red wine post gig last night. But raised a glass to this post!!

Ironically, I thought they had won, had my Spotify on in the car after the match, didn’t know mags had lost until my boy told me when I got home!!

They are broken

We were out for a family meal at an Indian restaurant, there's a small bar area and this old fella, Newcastle supporter, gets in for a couple of brown ales, we often have a chat about football and normally its decent chat, I tend to stick to chatting about Hartlepool, who also used to go and watch, but we do have the odd chat about players from way back when.
I say hello and ask him what's going on at Hartlepool and out of nowhere he launches into this long diatribe about Newcastle winning the FA cup in the 1950's and then mentions the Carabou Cup win before going on about the teams that finish in the top 3 should be the teams that are promoted and bringing up the fact that Sheffield Utd would have been two up at Wembley and gone up if it was not for VAR.
I politely pointed out that the rules for promotion were set out before a ball was kicked and that both teams knew VAR was in operation for the play off final and that the correct decision was reached. I may also have mentioned how much I was enjoying our season thus far in the Premier league but that's bye the bye. His drinking buddy was absolutely laughing his head off at this bit of repartee between us.

They really are a strange bunch but this season really seems to have got to them as the outburst came from absolutely nowhere.

PS I did enjoy my meal but the old fellas brown ale must have been a bit sour.
