A related matter from yesterday, the away end was absolutely chaotic. The stewards were openly saying that the away end had been oversold, even home fans were commenting after the game that the away stand looked notably rammed.

I hope the club will look into what the **** happened. I would have hated to have a child in there yesterday at times.
Thanks for raising this. Yes it was genuinely dangerous I thought. Lot of checking outside the ground meant a lot of people got in just before kick off and seemed to me a lot of people already in had just decided not to bother going to their allocated seat. Cue a real melee, with loads of people standing in the gangways, other people coming in behind them, etc. If the away end had been oversold, that's very much our club's fault. If it was a case of people just not using their allocated place, which let's face it has happened before, that's partly on them and partly on Sheffield, as there was a complete absence of stewards trying to do anything about it. I didn't feel a major incident was likely to happen but certainly if anyone had fallen, been unwell it would have been difficult.

Figures will show if it was oversold. Somehow I doubt if figures will show we sold more tickets than any other visiting team this season.

Yeah i think it was just a case of people not going to their own seats. There were 2 girls stood on the steps next to me. I made them aware of 2 empty seats in the row behind and they told a dad and his little lad who used them. There were another 2 single spaces on my row and 2 on the row in front. If everyone was stood where theor own seat was it would have been fine.

What did annoy me is yet again some gimp setting off a flare on the concourse meaning no food and drink before kick off. Happened last time I was at Sheffield United too. Do these stone island gimps not realise it only causes hassle for our own fans by doing it? There seemed to be a lot more of them yesterday mincing around in coats with little goggles on the hood.

It cant be oversold. They have a capacity and will send only that amount of tickets to city. It was just people thinking they can do what they want. Pretty much the same anywhere you go these days.

His ego doesn't work in private.
His ego is the reason why he’s done it because he knows a large chunk of the supporters agree with him and will ignore the distasteful way he’s done it. I’ve no love for Lundstram but it’s a really smarmy way of throwing a player under the bus publicly for a cheap win with the supporters.

I didn’t love Lundstrams post either.

But an owner of a club at a crucial stage of the season shouldn’t be singling out individual players. Regardless of whether he’s right or not it’s dangerous to be messing with squad morale.

Let’s also not pretend he hasn’t got form for it, remember Connolly and Allsopp?

Keep it in house, don’t publically humiliate your staff. Have a word on Monday. If it was done to me I’d probably not be as keen to give my all for my boss. I’d be fuming if I was Serg
No problem Drew. We see it in different ways. None of it helps in the long run.

I bet he really does his head in that the fans dont sing his name anymore for a silly little wave from him. It wont be long before he gets it piped out of the pa system to try and get it going again.

Come on Jim, potentially a few games from Wembley thanks to the brave decision to axe Selles and bring in Serg , ( a decision he was ridiculed for by many ) he should have one of them TIFO thingys if you ask me

No owner should be getting their name sung. It equally winds me up when I keep seeing the hull fc owner in the dressing room doing the winning song with half naked players.

Owners should be seen and not heard. In the boardroom enjoying falafel and roast duck and then quietly taking their seat in the stands, often with a strange choice of hat and jacket in winter. All this Wrexham and Swansea Snoop dogg rubbish is not helping matters. Bring back the grey men. Martin Fish knew the score.

Lundstrums comments were the unneeded ones. It needed a response and Acun has given it. Hopefully that's the end of it and we move on.
Anyone who isn’t soft as **** can see that, no surprise the maverick who actually made something significant of his life playing in the big leagues told the man he pays 40k odd a week too to get ****ed bothers the piss wetters on an Internet forum.

A huge problem we have is decision making in the final third, crosses, shots, simple passes just don’t go where they should, I know we get a great view from above, but that still shouldn’t stop the players from putting in decent balls.
People talk about Giles & McB like he’s the only one who can pass to him, what do they do in training all week?
As for shooting, I just watched Sun’lan shooting from outside the box & they’re at least keeping it on the ground, even if it’s blocked, ours just sky it over the bar, it’s all so frustrating.

Agree. When do you ever hear Tony Bloom running his mouth? I couldn’t even tell you who Bournemouth’s owner is but I know they’re doing a ****ing good job.

I believe Fish was well chanted on the terraces, it was Fish Out, but still, he was chanted!

I am an easy going person but i absolutely hate the Blunts ever since that game in 1971 .never mind 1984 . In 1971 the ref called two teams together ,Tony Currie should have been sent off for a dire tackle on Roger De Vries.
Anyway it’s left to us now , my psychiatric nurse side has pulled me back to calmness
No comment re Lundy
Did we win that game?
