Our midfield was particularly poor again yesterday without Slater or Collyer but I thought, yellow cards and sending off aside, that Amir was worse than Lundstram. He was totally anonymous in the first half and not much better second, but just didn’t seem involved in the game at all. I thought Lundstram had a better game than other recent ones, before the cards but still wasn’t able to get a grip on the middle of the park. I was surprised that Crooks didn’t get subbed early on because he looked knackered again, pretty early in the second half, probably because he was having to cover so much ground to get up and down, as he ended up having to play more of an 8 role than a 10.
Like a few others, I find Millar so frustrating, his decision making at vital moments is terrible and again yesterday he cost us some very promising situations with awful choices or execution.
One of the best things for me about getting older is that I no longer let a game spoil my weekend, which certainly used to happen pretty regularly when I was younger. Yesterday, during the game I was getting pretty wound up by some of our performances, along with our inability to kill off the game and the shocking refereeing but within 10 minutes of the end of the game, I was thinking about the run in and the fact that it’s still very much in our hands to get into the playoffs. I think we still have a very good chance of making it and if we can get some of our influential players back soon, it’s still not impossible that we could successfully get through those three games, as anything can happen. A bit like we saw yesterday, things can change very quickly in football.

I don’t like Lundstram, I don’t rate Lundstram, his sending off was mainly his fault despite the ref getting in his way and his post-match statement was weird but that statement by the owner is 1000% worse than anything Lundstram has done. Getting into public social media spats with employees like that is so, so poor. You’re telling me this couldn’t be handled internally on Monday with the club telling Lundstram privately that his post didn’t go down too well?

Acun’s playing to the crowd again. He’s made disparaging comments about players before because he reads what City fans on X say about them. **** behaviour. I haven’t said anything negative about Acun for ages because, to his credit, he’s been relatively quiet and that’s the best thing he can do. He can’t help himself though.

It's the same as his **** about Allsop and Connolly. He's like the dweeb at school who's somehow in with the cool kids and goes twice as hard at their targets because he thinks it'll make him look even cooler to them.

Why did this need to be public (from both of them)?

A distraction not needed.
I couldn't agree more!!

Lundstram has been a total ****ing idiot, ridiculous statement, what on Earth was he thinking? However, the aftermath should've been dealt with 'in-house' first thing Monday morning.

We then get a Chairman of a Club, our Club, coming out with a poorly worded rebuke on X when we're in the thick of a play off scrap...Utterly bizarre and unprofessional...

Lundstram apology post which is more about sheff united

Leicester isn’t sold out, just bought a ticket. Hopefully I can make alternative arrangements for my daughter who is at her MT rehearsals literally just down the road <laugh>

He's gone, hasn't he. Reckon that was his parting message and come and get me for 26/27 season.

Totally agree about Amir. He never seems to come in for criticism yet he often goes missing in games, rarely puts his foot in for a challenge and as you say was pretty much totally anonymous yesterday.

Don't think anyone expected us to sign him surely?

I'd rather not piss off any players while we still might need them though..

He's also mates with mcburnie and Egan so no idea how it could impact them.

Just completely unneeded.

Lundstrums comments were the unneeded ones. It needed a response and Acun has given it. Hopefully that's the end of it and we move on.

I was fuming at Lunny, but the statement he put out after just seemed a poorly worded attempt at being genuine. He spent a lot of time at Sheff U and was probably hurt by the reaction from the crowd and annoyed at himself.

Acun going in like that seems really cruel. It's one thing for us to do it, for your boss to do it publicly is insanity.

Lunny seems to be a very popular figure in the dressing room too, good mates with McB & Egan, you'd imagine he's very influential, it's a bonkers thing to do and can only have a negative effect on the lads.

I think he's been a bit part player for some time and he already knew his fate. He's been an expensive mistake from the start, his best days were long behind him. He's slow,he's clumsy and he thinks he's a better player than he actually is.He's got another month in Hull and he'll spend it in the stands..says it all.

As for his future going forward,I'm not sure he's done enough with us to attract much interest from any Club of note.
