Don't trust AI:

What is Roberto de Zerbi going to do with Tottenham and how will he set them up?
I've read about when he went in at Brighton and how Lewis Dunk says it took the Seagulls players a while to get up to speed, external and adapt to his demands.
The whole situation is just odd, with De Zerbi securing a five-year contract despite only hanging around for more than two years at one of his previous eight clubs.
Good luck to him, but this is a difficult place for him to start.
Sunderland's form at the Stadium of Light has dipped a bit since they lost their unbeaten home record against Liverpool in February, but the Black Cats will be buoyant after beating Newcastle last time out.
If Spurs are going to play the type of football we associate with De Zerbi, they will be open and expansive, and take risks - but will they have the confidence to do that?
Sunderland are the team that come into this game with belief. They've had a brilliant season and their incentive now must be to stay above Newcastle in the table.

Sutton's prediction: 1-0
Frank's prediction: The bottom two [Burnley and Wolves] have gone. For me it is out of West Ham or Tottenham who goes down too. Let's see what happens with this new manager at Spurs. 3-1
AI's prediction: 1-3

No surprise.... Think his Dad was a pro golfer :emoticon-0100-smile
Ah, I did not know that. Cheers!

Luke has spoken about how his father's background in golf has influenced his discipline and competitive mindset from a young age

https://sportsbyte.sunderland.ac.uk...the-making-of-sunderland-defender-luke-onien/

Born in Hemel Hempstead, he is the son of Terry O’Nien, a former professional golfer. Luke tells me that his Dad describes himself as a “failed pro golfer”, but soon adds “you can’t fail if you give it your everything!” That attitude defines him.

There was never a chance of him becoming a golfer. Instead, he partnered football with cricket until 16. He has taken a bigger interest in playing golf now and with a grin admitted he may make a “late surge”for a golfing career.

Terry played a pivotal role in shaping Luke. Whilst at Watford, he was constantly asked, “What are you doing tomorrow, son?” The answer was always “training.” This motto was invaluable when, after 13 years at Watford, he was told he’d been released.

“Dad told me, ‘You’ve been released.’ We just paused and went, ‘HA.’ Then he said, ‘What are you doing tomorrow, son?’ I said, ‘Training.’ And that was it.

“My dad wrote to every EFL club asking for a trial. I trained hard in the off-season knowing that day one of pre-season I needed to be as fit as a fiddle to win the tests.

“Wycombe said I could come in. I won all the tests and they said they wanted to sign me after the first day.”

Delighted to have actual footy back I’ve just fully detached from it since the derby and had a couple of weeks of not giving it much thought.

Straight up, I like and rate De Zerbi. That said I still think the problems they have are way, way deeper than the manager.

Frank is a proven PL manager and they downed tools after a solid start, they have players who don’t care for the club and are already flirting for exits, who think they better than they are and somehow think they bigger than what is a great club.

They do have quality and if it clicks they can hurt anyone, but I’d rather play them now than in 2-3 games time.

I fancy 2-1 the lads and keep that European tour on the hob. Spurs will stay up and likely be good next season after a rebuild.

Pissed off that it’s Sunday but at least it’s earlyish.

Vamooooos!

So for the first time in ages we have 3 fullbacks that all deserve to play, but only 2 can. Reinildo LB, Mukiele Rb or Hume Lb/Rb...

Whos everyones first choice pairing? Like ive said previously Mukiele needs to start every game when fit imo. The conundrum is Hume or Reinildo at LB and I really cant decide? Whats everyone else think??

back 4 of hume nordi alderete reinildo, played alot of the start of the season, would be happy with this, hard to drop any of the defence from the derby though

No Ballard if fit then? Thats a big big call mate
I'm assuming he's not, unless i've missed footage of him actually training with the squad i've only seen him playing golf at the training ground, is in training gear mind so fingers crossed

Reinildo has to be in at LB for me. He's naturally left footed and gives us better balance going forward. You're right though, if Mukiele's fit, he's got to play. He's as important to the defence as Xhaka is to the midfield and Brobbey is up front.

We'll find out in the presser if Ballard is available. If not, Hume can play RB and Nordi in the middle alongside Omar.

If Ballard is fit, then that poses another cunundrum. If Mukiele plays RB and Reinildo LB with Ballard and Aldarete in between, does Rigg drop out to accommodate Hume? Personally, I think we should keep Rigg in. He's starting to find his feet at this level and offers more of an attacking threat.
