If e we win this game and our next PL game, we’ve basically won the league.
Quite the incentive for the players.

As with all things it goes back to Arteta, will he be brave or will he wuss out ! The answer so far has been an overwhelming wuss out. Lets hope he sees the benefits to being brave.

It's all there - we could more or less be Champions after a 22 yr wait, the longest in our history as a club. 11 days, 3 games where we could make it to the semi -final of the CL and win the league.
This is it and the players and manager need to be excited and positive and go out and PLAY.

By the time the game comes about, Bournemouth won't have played a game for 23 days - that's an awful long time to not play.

I get they may have had more rest and will no doubt have intense training drills, but they won't be match sharp or ready after so long.

At least this would be our 3rd game to have built up a rhythm.

We need to take advantage of it.

Another game that won't be easy - Bournemouth are unbeaten in the league since we last beat them in January. Their issue has been all the draws they've been getting (4 wins, 7 draws). Otherwise they'd firmly be in contention for a European spot.

In a way they don't matter... it's all on us. At home we are favourites to win and any game is tough at this stage.
There are absolutely no ifs buts or maybes anymore - no excuses. It's just about winning and the players need to go out and forget the noise and pressure and show us and everyone else that they are ready.

Winning heaps huge pressure on City for the game on Sunday away to Chelsea - if we win they will be 12 points behind going into that game.

We can not let another opportunity slip.

Hard to tell if thats a plus or a minus. They will be fit and rested while we have several players just coming back from injuries.

If it were Arsenal I would definitely prefer to have the rest.

Nah, not for me. You've heard players and manager speak before that they prefer having the momentum of regular games rather than long breaks in between. I don't think it's a good thing that Bournemouth have not played a competitive match for 22 days.

Equally, I do think this will be a very tricky game. Bournemouth are a good team, known for being a high-pressing, high-energy side, and like I said, they are unbeaten since we last faced them in January.

We'll need to be playing to a good level to beat them.

Arteta being coy in his press conference regarding players coming back from injury.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta on the fitness of Bukayo Saka, Jurrien Timber, Martin Odegaard and Riccardo Calafiori and if they will be available for selection on Saturday: "There have been changes since yesterday, yes. I don't know [if they are available]. Some of them."

On Eberechi Eze: "He is available. My first conversation with him after he felt the niggle, he wanted to be available the next week but that wasn't possible. The will that he has shown since day one to get back as quick as possible, the way that he has pushed to be there tomorrow is great to watch."

On Piero Hincapie: "There will be changes tomorrow."

Odegaard, Saka, Timber and Calafiori all out injured and not in the squad.

Havertz in midfield
MLS at full back
Madueke starts on the right

Very concerned with that midfield.
Bournemouth can play through that line up and win a lot of duels.

Yeah - gotta be honest, I thought we'd be able to field a stronger XI than that.

Plus, a Madueke, Martinelli and Gyokeres front 3 doesn't really do it for me...

MLS starting, which I'm fine with, but his displays at LB have been concerning...

Havertz in midfield? Not sure about that too...

Eeek. This could be a trickier game than I already thought it would be.

Injuries at the wrong time.
Timber and Saka being out is a big problem.

The team feels like Arteta is trying to fit players in - eg Havertz AND Gyokeres.
One of them has to be on the bench IMO. Havertz is a false 9.
The problem with Havertz in midfield is that he is not going to control the ball and will be played through easily.
That leaves Rice and Zubimendi - and that scares me.
I can see - as you say - Bournemouth being able to get the ball wide and go at our FBs.
